This place is great! I've been to Paris 3x and this place definitely reminds me of a Paris café. We go whenever we drive nearby.

This cafe is my favourite place to go for a hot chocolate! And the chocolate almond just never fails to make my day! I simply loved this place...

Magnifique. Truly a superb pâtisserie that is high quality, moderately priced, and friendly. I'm always treated like a welcomed guest (and sometimes receive a greeting in French!). A true gem of Metro Detroit. I'll continue to tell my students to visit your shop!

It is an old world experience far from the maddening crowd yet right around the corner. Step back and relax with delicious pastries, French press coffee, friendly staff and no rush to do anything but enjoy the moment.

I've been searching for REAL pain au chocolat aux amandes in the Detroit area for years. This place passes with flying colors. It is the only bakery I've found anywhere nearby with authentic French pastries, equal to those I got while living in France. I highly recommend it!

I visited yesterday for the first time from West Bloomfield. A true gem of Birmingham. The service was truly excellent from Allison. The croissants were really delicious and fresh. The specialty pieces I ordered were heated up and were buttery and delicious. I tried bacon and cheese croissants and coffee and took a bunch of things home. I will be going back on a regular basis.Wonderful 👍

I love visiting when I’m in Birmingham. The almond croissant is the very best. I’ll be back.

I literally salivate whenever I think about this place. Every time I'm home from college, I make the time to visit this place and have a strawberry tart and chocolate croissant. :)

I like to call Cannelle my little piece of heaven. So far, I've tried their macarons, jambon gruyere (ham and gruyere sandwich), and sparkling lemonade--all perfect! And the lovely, cozy ambience of the bakery helps me pretend I'm far away in Paris. It's safe to say I'll be back many more times :)

I have been ordering pastries from Matt for 8 years. Found him first at Eastern Market. They are works of art and delicious!!!

I get my croissants at the RO farmers' market. It's been my weekend indulgence for the last few years.

But I have a question:

What kind of sadist IS Matt Knio??

Olive Tapenade croissant.

Turkey, onion & Swiss croissant.

Onion croissant.

I got adicted to these....and then - poof - discontinued.

Why do you do that???!!!

That's just plain mean. : ( : (

[Do NOT try disappearing my apricot croissant, or I shall have to picket!!!!]

Great little slice of French life! Lived right near this place for 6 months but only just found it - very glad we have now! They do proper french bread, which has been really hard to find in the US since we moved here from Europe. Pastries are really good :)

A real bakery and a true gem, this small shop belies the size of the palette of flavors it offers. It is easy to make things "sweet," but a great baker also understands depth and texture. This place nails it with their pastries.
