About Veronica'S Cafe

Because coffee makes sense.

Veronica'S Cafe Description

Veronica’s Café on the bluff in Old Town Kenai, Alaska. It’s a place where you can’t help but fit perfectly into the story line the moment you walk through the old creaky door and smell the homemade soups, pies, cookies, coffee and more. A place where you can’t help but know every line by heart as you walk in and the cozy coffee shop finds a way to hug you as the cheerful, quirky employees greet you with a song and a smile. You find yourself instantly falling into step with the movements and knowing your place in every scene, as if you’ve called Veronica’s “home” all along.

Whether it be an evening where the snow covers the old house in a blanket of white, tucking in the patrons for a night of music and magic, a perfect summer afternoon outside on the picnic tables surround by a rainbow of flowers, or a cozy rainy morning with a piping hot vanilla latte and a good book: the audience calls for an encore every day.

Veronica’s Café: a place where magic follows you everywhere you walk, glitter swirls around your every move, laughter fills every corner of every forgotten song, music paints the walls every Friday and Saturday night at 6: 30 and love follows you right out the door and bids you farewell until the next time.

Whenever I'm in Kenai which isn't very often I do my best to go to Veronica's. It's comfy and cozy the food is wonderful the staff is caring and so good at what they do. As a matter of fact a few weeks ago I went in to have lunch and was having quite a bad day and the server noticed that I was upset and had been crying which I tried to hide. At the end of my meal she came over and told me lunch is on me today. I can't remember her name but I know she'll know who she is and I hope she knows how much that meant to me a little bit of kindness during a storm means so much. God bless you sweetheart and thank you so much for Anika's I will continue to be a faithful Patron

What a magical place. The clam chowder is the best in the world, and the carrot cake is magical. I think that is because of the love of the people who work there. We have literally stayed extra days in Kenai just to be able to go there just one more time. Other coffee houses might claim to be the best in the world, but that is because they have not been to Veronica's. It's 5,000 miles from here to Veronica's but we still consider it our local coffee shop.

We had lunch at Veronica's and everything about it was awesome! The Hungarian Mushroom soup was excellent! We are from Missouri and was visiting some very special family members! Thanks for the awesome experience.

Tried it out for a birthday lunch and it was a great present. Went with the special of the day which seems to be a popular choice. It was awesome.

The soups are very different than your usual fare and also extremely good.

Went there again the next day and will be back as long as we're in the area.

This place is awesome. Best soups I've ever had, and wonderful atmosphere. Take a friend or five and go have a cup of coffee and bowl of soup- like right now.

This little cafe right next to a 19th century Russian Orthodox Church is just the best. Great food, good prices and a wonderful staff. Really cute place, too.

They made the homemade soup. It was so delicious. Someone made me the iced spiced chai. It was wonderful taste. I think it is best than Starbucks.

I loved the old log cottage. It was a cute environment. They provide people who play guitar, sing, music on every Friday and Saturday.

Suggest you try to go there one day!!!

I am proud of my sister Kim who became owner of Veronica's cafe. The employees are friendly and give a good services.

Recently had lunch with friends, we sat in the "sun room" area. Cozy & comfy, I had quiche & the mushroom soup which was very good! Great selection of teas also. I've had the berry crisp previously which is excellent!

My second visit to Kenai, Alaska in 33 years. Last month our eating pleasure was enhanced when we discovered "VERONICA'S CAFE" in Old Town Kenai. The building, a house built by a settler in 1917, lent to a genuinely Old World feel. But food was simply great, service very homely! The owner even allowed me to sing acapella, two Thursday evenings in a row during their "open mic"!
