Wife and I checked out the new Eli's Old-Fashioned Ice Cream & Soda Shop on Main Street in Payson. They opened just last Wednesday. The owner was really nice, and the homemade ice cream was amazing. The strawberry ice cream is made with real strawberries. And their Brownies on the Moon and their Rocky Road was so delicious. One neat thing about this historic building is it was Payson's first Bank. And it still has a vault in it. And all the deposit slips were still kept in boxes in the basement. So the new owner put everything on display in the vault, and its really fun to see that bit of Payson history preserved.

We were visiting from out of town recently and stopped one of our first days in Payson. Needless to say I made sure we went back on our last day there. Great ice cream, awesome atmosphere, and neat background to the building.

Very friendly staff and tons to choose from! The banana shake was amazing. I've had a pleasant experience every time I've visited and definitely plan on going back. It can get busy, and remember they're making shakes and scooping ice cream etc, so if there's a crowd, have some patience :)

This is one of the best little ice cream shops I've been to. Everything is top notch in quality and it tastes great. I got the lime phosphate float and loved it! Highly recommend!

Their cookies are amazing, ice cream is delicious and the atmosphere is really cozy with a nice old fashion feel. Prices are great! The employees were so nice and helpful! I will definitely be coming back!!

My son and daughter-in-law held their wedding open house at Eli's Ice Cream Shop. Eli was so easy to work with, and the Ice Cream Shop was the perfect setting! Ice cream and steamers are delicious!! Thank you Eli!

Loved the ice cream!! Yum!! Checked it out today with my lil girl and a friend and her kids. We all enjoyed and will be back for sure. The gentleman working even sang us a few songs with his guitar. A good time by all.

Great location, and they've done a wonderful job with the building. I highly recommend the Peanut Butter cup shake! Eli told us that every ingredient they use is high quality, and it shows. Their service is also phenomenal. I will definitely go back!

Good ice cream but the atmosphere is really what makes this place. So much fun and historical, worth going just to look around. The book store downstairs is also fun, great for buying children's books.

Awesome treats, great service, super duper fun place to be! It's the real deal people!!! Can't wait to bring my friends back. Oh, and get the Mexican hot chocolate, it's the best hot chocolate I've ever had!
