my daughter gave us a gift card and we chose this restaurant from a list. Fun, delicious dining experience and we assume the owner who waited on us was extremely friendly & helpful with the menu choices. Sorry we missed dancing night by one night. definitely recommended �

We took the drive from Tucson to Chandler just to lunched at Elvira’s. OMG! The food was delicious. We had salbutes for our appetizer. We ordered the Fried Snapper, Pigtails with coconut rice and stewed beans , fried chicken, and the oxtail stew which all came with coconut rice and beans, fried plantains and potato salad. The coconut water and the watermelon juice are must haves. The food took a long time to be served but the wait was worth it. After all us Belizean like our food nice.

We kept driving by for the past few months saying we should go and it was a post of #livingchandler that reviewed and recommended Elvira’s that made us make the effort and go. We were not disappointed. The owner Luis and his wife Elvira as wonderful and sweet. Very welcoming. He helped us with the menu and made some suggestions. Hubby had the ox tail stew and I went for the red snapper. Food took a while longer than expected because this is NOT fast food. This is authentic Belizean. 2 lb fish. Largest available flown in fresh from Florida. The Pop’s coconut rum drink was delish!

We had the most delicious meal last night. From start to finish the flavors we as good as was promised, the service was great and the restaurant was comfortable. Please try something new. We want this place to be here for a long, long time.

The food was wonderful..my husband I both enjoyed the appetizers the owner suggested..and couldn't get enough of each of our entrées..their customer service was on point..definately glad we happened on this gem. Ordered and brought home some of their homemade strawberry cheese cake...definately recommend this restraunt to any one who wants to try something different and with a homemade taste and comfort in every bite.

The customer service was amazing and he was so helpful with our menu options. We started off with the panandes which were delicious, we tried the fish and the bean filled, we preferred the fish if we had to choose. Then we had the oxtail, fried chicken, and stew chicken all with coconut rice and all of which were full of flavor and very filling! I will definitely be back and be sending people their way!

It was difficult to decide what to eat; I wanted a taste of every dish. We finally settled on having ganaches as appetizers--they were delicious--and I had the oxtails, rice and beans, coleslaw and ripe plantains. Every morsel we ate was delicious. I especially liked the coleslaw which was not too sweet and not smothered with mayo. We're going back!

I hadn't had rice & beans since I left San Pedro last year. This was just as delicious as what we get back home in Belize. I highly recommend it and am happy that they are located 10 minutes away from me. I will be brining my friends that I have made here in the valley and introduce them to good Belizean food.

Great food! We had never had Belizean food before!. We had driven by this place a lot and always said, we should go. So we visited tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. The habanero hot sauce was to die for! ;-) I had the stewed pork chop and my husband had the beef stew. Wonderful flavors and great portions! We will definitely be back! The service was simply awesome too! Very nice people!

Didn't know what Belizean food was so thought what the heck I'll give it a try. The waiter was so kind and explained what certain foods were and I wasn't disappointed! This place was awesome! You won't be disappointed so give it a try.

Been dreaming about Belizean food since we had side of the road BBQ in Belize after going to Xunantunich. We found Elvira's and loved this place! Went while they had the BBQ, so we tried the BBQ chicken and Stewed chicken. Both were fantastic! We had the Salbutes as an appetizer, and we're definitely hooked. Washed it all down with a coconut water and a watermelon drink. Everything was delicious, will definitely be back! Love all the true Belizean flavor.

As a Belizean man in AZ I am Very happy and grateful we finally have a Belizean restaurant in AZ, let alone in Chandler. Very good, just like home.

Amazing authentic Belizean cuisine!! Super friendly and courteous staff ☺️My husband and I make this a part of our trip every time we visit Arizona. I highly recommend giving it a try 🤗

We checked this place out as my wife and I had a Groupon. The food lacked flavor. The customer service and the server we had was great. Overall we came for the food and was disappointed and left unsatisfied. We will most likely not return.



The should bring back the Chinese place that was there before. That was good!
