Nice place to eat. They have pies of different flavors and some other snacks. The pies are tasty and the coffee is good too.
The place is decorated in an old style. You will get a feeling that you are sitting in a restaurant at a time 80 years ago. They have also preserved some tools and stuffs back from the earlier days of the restaurant (which actually started some time during 1920s).

Atmosphere was grate, but that is where the good news stops. I came here with my wife and one of my friends. Initially we were served drinks after being seated for 10 minutes. It took 20 minutes to receive a food menu when we asked for a pie menu. It took 30 minutes for the server at the bar to inform us that he forgot that we asked for the pie menu. Then he told us that it doesn't help that the restaurant only has two pie menues even though they are a pie restaurant. So we told him to just list the pies he knows. My wife ordered a multi berry crumble pie, heated with ice cream. He repeated the order and then left. He brought the pie, but never brought the ice cream. We tracked him down and told him that we didn't get any ice cream, his response was that we didn't order any. He came by about 20 minutes later and asked if we needed anything else. We said no and asked for the check. 10 minutes later we had to ask another server for our check again. So he came back, collected our card, and brought back our card and receipt. He asked us to sign it, but never left a pen. We tried asking him for a pen but he never responded. Don't worries we found our own on the other side of the bar.

I asked my wife how she would rate this place? She said grate pie but she will never come back again due to our experience. She said she would rather sit in 3 hours of rush hour traffic then endure another visit to Rock Springs Café.

The history to the Rock Springs Café goes back to the settlement of the Arizona territory. As troops were holding down the fort in the area the Rocks Springs cafe established itself and now is considered the oldest restaurant in Arizona. Known for its pies I’m glad I finally made the stop off exit 242 from the i17. Make sure you explore. Gift shop upstairs, saloon and many rooms to eat. I was very impress in the outdoor area just take a walk around the corner of the restaurant and be amazed by the beautiful outdoor setting.

I love the pies they make! There are so many different types.
There is also regular food to eat. My toddler adores their Mac n cheese, it's home made not the power in a box stuff.
Honestly just a real nice little place to stop and have a look around.
Must admit the bear gave me a fright, but table service is excellent and taking home either a slice or entire pie is a definite.

I bought a blackberry pie that was delicious. Good as it ever was! Lady was also very pleasant and happily cut two slices to eat whilst there. After finishing the pie, my friend and I went over to the little gift rock shop. It also was very nice. Got a few nice pieces there.

This Old West cafe has a beautiful set of pies to choose from; berry, pecan, coconut cream and more. Portions are decent and the rustic atmosphere is an homage to yesteryear. Behind the cafe are spots for bigger group events. They have a white bear. Bonus points if you find the traveling duck! ;-)

A friend and I stopped here for lunch on the way back from Prescott. We were told it would be 25 to 35 minute wait. It ended up only about 20 minutes. Someone took our drink order right away and said our server would be there soon. By the time our server came we were ready to order. Our order came up quickly. My friend ordered the South West salad & I ordered the taco salad. They were out of the taco shells but offered to make it without the shell. Both of our salads were fresh and very tasty. We ordered two slices of pie to go. It was a pleasant meal and our server was friendly and attentive. Good place for lunch or dinner.

Unique. Our waitress Joyce was somewhat aloof. She never looked at this, but she did get our orders right. The bus girl took better care of us then our waitress. The food was excellent, price was reasonable, but the pies were the best. We had the Cherry Pie and it was fabulous.

I was blown away by the terrific customer service at Rock Springs Cafe yesterday, Sat. August 26 around 9 am. The nice woman (50 ? y/o) cashier at front was so sweet and kind when she wished my Dad Happy 92nd Birthday! I should have caught her name! Just a lovely lady!! And as always... the food and coconut cream pie was SO good.

Not really impressed.

I am not quite sure what happened here. Everybody keeps saying the pies are the best ever, but both our pies ($20 each) were subpar. We bought an apple pie and it was raw in the middle. We just tossed it out. The second was a Tennessee Lemon. It was ok, but it tasted like a scoop of butter with some lemon squeezed on it. Maybe that is the actual taste they were going for, but I wouldn't purchase it again.

The reason I gave 3 stars is because I think overall the place is pretty cool, and I will be back to get a slice of pie only. At $20 a pie, I would not invest in a full pie until I had a slice to test it.

The place was under construction, which I understand and I hope they have good luck with it.

YOU MUST STOP! This is the best pie you will ever have. They are a little expensive, but they are very large, generous and worth every penny. The Jack Daniels Pecan pie was really interesting. The berry pie is our family favorite. Stop and have a slice of pie and coffee and take a whole pie home to the family- or hoard it for yourself. It's that good.

Stopped at about 11:30 AM. Ordered Fish and Chips and we were told not ready. So ordered soup. Was barely warm, so had to have it warmed up. Asked for receipt and waited forever to have picked up. Disappointed! Have never been dissatisfied with this establishment before. 😫

A Rustic reprieve in the desert. The Apple bourbon pie will intoxicate you. Rock Springs Cafe is a wonderful place to while away the hours while Black Canyon traffic is nuts. 03/20/2017 unfortunately I had to drop Rock Springs Cafe rating to a 2 star. I stopped in for a delicious pie on my way home from Flagstaff on a warm Monday morning. It was quite warm and decided that I would bring my 10 pound miniature dachshund inside with me as the weather to was too warm to leave him in the car. I was in the cafe all of three minutes before a young woman came out and told me that if my dog was not service he could not be in the cafe. I responded that I merely wanted to buy a pie she just smiled tilted her head to the side and said smiling "I'm sorry". Rather than just let me buy the pie and leave she obviously had no intention of serving me at all. So today Rock Springs lost a sale from a customer who buys pies here at least twice a month. I was very disappointed in the customer service I received.
