Food comes out hot and fast. Service is great. Only issue is they ALWAYS have a wait. Be prepared on the weekends to wait at least 20 minutes.

I normally shun busy places like this, but this was totally worth the deserved wait for a table. The food was outstanding.

The quality of the dishes were matched by the friendliness and attentiveness of the wait staff. Big smiles and a cheerful demeanor. Well done.

Portions big enough to satisfy a bearcub and maybe his hungry little sister too. The food came out quick, especially considering how big and busy this place is.

The place to eat and you know deep in your stomach. Was even better than snooze. Honestly snooze is good but this is going back to a classic original place to eat. Coffee cake is a must get btw.

We ate here because it was recommended by my niece who used to live in Carlsbad. This was one of her favorites. They service was quick and the food was delicious. The price was as expected and plenty of parking made it easy to back my F-250 into a space.

Awesome breakfast spot. Have eaten here on numerous occasions before becoming a guide. The coffee cake should be a national treasure. It is to die for. It is always steaming hot when it hits the table. Breakfast entrees come in large portions. Many entrees can be shared by two people. My all-time favorite is the corned beef hash. Great sized pieces of shredded Irish corned beef and potatoes, as well as chopped onions. Add some over easy eggs on top and you have breakfast perfection. Their juices are fresh squeezed too. They always have a line, so be ready for it. They have honor system, self serve, coffee for while you wait. The decor is all surf boards and pics as well as early skateboard memorabilia. Staff is super friendly and they deliver awesome customer service. You have to try it.

Delicious, inexpensive food. Staff is nice. Get the Corned Beef hash. Good place to hang out for awhile and take a load off.

Playing the same tune as many others but the coffee cake they serve here is fantastic! The eggs and sausage platter was also delicious and a great place for early day foods.
Parking is a bit limited but it has a warm surf style to it and nice people.

A short wait is always worth it. Exciting menu, delicious food served up fast. Plenty of fun stuff to look at and talk about, friendly staff. And if you get to use the bathroom, let's just say you have to see it to believe it! 5 stars, I love this place

Seriously outstanding is all I have to say! Generally speaking breakfast leaves me less then impressed by most places. But the crumb cake here is SO good and the meal I had was the Irish Corned Beef Hash..... wow was that stuff delicious! I LOVED that it wasn't some weird take on the canned mush but was actually literally little slivers of great tasting corned beef made into their own unique "hash" - very good place! Glad we decided to check it out for breakfast.

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday morning about 11:00 am and told the wait would be about 30 minutes. Roughly 10 minutes later they offered us a spot at the counter and we took it. The food was fabulous. Large portions, well prepared, and very tasty. The service was just right, not too pushy, yet available when needed. The sides are simply enormous. The pancake side could be a meal unto itself, and the coffee cake is to die for. Family owned and very well run. We liked it so much we went back on Monday for another go!

Super friendly staff and great tasting food. My suggestion is come early or come during odd times/days to avoid long wait.

Local people love to come here for brunch

Food and service couldn't be better. What makes this place so very different is the surf theme throughout. Every wall, table and surface is festooned with surf memorabilia. Even the restrooms are beautifully tiled and painted with ocean creatures. So, great food, wonderful service and incredible ambience makes Beach Break a definite winner!!

Yummy yummy yummy! We really dug this place, and 100% echo all other reviews on here. The food was great, the service was AWESOME, and there's about 900 other things on the menu that we are dying to try. I'd like to see this place get into a new location, because it really does feel like the location should be a laundry-mat or something. Regardless, the funky locale is the least of our worries when the food is as GRUB as it is! If this says anything - It's rare that we go for breakfast or lunch on the weekends, and last weekend we went twice! Both times were to the delicious Beach Break Cafe! Keep it up Beach Break! We'll be back (with Arnie's accent).

This place definitely deserves five starts. Have never left unsatisfied. The coffee cake is AMAZING. Portions are pretty big, cheap prices and very fast service. Watch out though, this place can get very busy! Especially on the weekends. The parking is kinda bad too hah
