Wicked excellent food, The place has such an excellent atmosphere, fitting for family. My favorite dish by far is the ABC Omelette and the price for proportions of all the food is an excellent value <3 :D The waitresses there are absolutely charming. and I definitely recommend this to my family and friends

We went to Connie's after a friend recommended it and we've been regulars ever since. Great home cooked food and the best part of the visit is talking with Connie. She's an incredible cook and you can tell she loves her customers! We just moved to Mira Mesa but will continue to drive to Connie's as often as we can.

This was our first visit to this cozy neighborhood gem for breakfast. Everything made to order, made from scratch. Connie alerted us that my apple French toast would take a little time as she prepares the apples upon order! Worth the slight wait and this top menu item alongside killer fluffy pancakes were terrific. They are also very proud of their bacon...and it lived up to their recommendation. Open until 2pm and serving dinner only once a week on Wednesday where the menu has just three homemade choices. Your check comes with freshly made cookies as a bonus. A new local favorite for us.

This place is amazing. ive had just about everything on the menu and highly recommend the country benedict, meatloaf and french dip! Connie mixes it up with new cookies every time we come.



She comes out and checks on how we are doing during our meal.

My partner and I happened upon this quaint little diner perhaps around six months ago and we quickly became some of Connie's regulars! We absolutely love Connie and her food is AMAZING. Sometimes I feel like it will start to get old, but then we get there and when I start eating I'm continually impressed by the flavor. Plus Connie herself!! Her diner may be small but her personality is HUGE and we LOVE it. She's got a fireball, no-nonsense attitude and a heart of gold. I have no idea what the person who wrote the 1-star rating was talking about; I've never had a bad experience and whenever we go people always have the nicest and best things to say about Connie and the food. Look at all the other reviews here: almost all are 5 star because this place is great.



Concerning specific menu items (though I haven't yet tried something I didn't like) I highly recommend her meatloaf. I get it often for breakfast with eggs and toast. Her specials are also a great go-to; you never know what she's going to cook up, but it's always a win! One morning she had a tri-tip chili omelette that made me so happy. Just recently I tried her French Dip and must say I was quite impressed! The addition of onion rings was a delightful touch. Honestly, just try anything and it will be good!!

Just tried Connie's for breakfast for the first time and will definitely be back again. The food was fantastic and atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. We ordered pancakes for our little guy (I stole a bite--delicious!) and my husband ordered the cheese omelet and said it was damn good. And I had the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had, the ham was so good and eggs were cooked to perfection.

Just finished breakfast and wow! Best omelette I've ever had. I had the Shadowridge omelette with tomatoes, fresh spinach, onions, mushrooms, avocado and topped with Feta cheese. The portions are very generous and the vegetables were all fresh. I swear there was a whole avocado in top of that omelette! We are going back for take out later for her homemade split pea soup, sounds so good on this glorious rainy day. I sure hope she sticks around, this is like home cooking and its a nice alternative to cooking every night.

I had their special that day, it was the meatloaf omelette with hash browns and sour dough bread. Can i say delicious!!! I definitely want to come back. If it was closer to me then i would have breakfast here all the time!

I had a great 2 egg breakfast with perfect over easy eggs. Then I got a garden salad and Cream of Mushroom Soup to go. The Cream of Mushroom Soup was the best Cream of Mushroom Soup and BEST SOUP I've ever had. Seriously. Thank you, Connie!

I eat here often since she openned and love it. The Shadowridge Omelet is my favorite! 3 eggs, avo, spinach, tomato, mushrooms and feta! She bakes awesome cookies too. My secret: ask for a dozen to go :-)

Great food for a great price and the homemade cookie at the end is always a treat. Last time it was peanut butter Orange chocolate chip. The orange kick was so refreshing.

Best chicken-friend steak I've had outside the midwest! I've had delicious daily specials like spicy sausage omlettes, and their fruit options aren't 90% cantelope. Check them out for lunch, or definitely for brunch!

Been loving this place for just over 2 years now and there's no place like it! It's a place everone knows your name, (Cheers, lol!). Today is 3 year anniversary for Connie's and she's made up these bags with 4 different types of cookies, each one a special blend!

A friend and I met for lunch - it was wonderful food !!
