We went for lunch at 1230 on a Thursday, we called ahead and made a reservation since it was 4 adults and a child and thought that they might be busy with a lunch crowd. We were sat right away at a table by a window. I had their daily special the bomb burger with brie and mushrooms, it was delicious. The waitress was very accommodating to the fact that we were waiting on one member of our party. She took our drink order and came back to take our order when the member arrived. Everyone thought that their food was good. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought the birthday boy a complimentary piece of cake. 2 sodas, a burger, a club sandwich, a Rubin, roast beef and a BLT sandwich=75.00 plus tip.

Totally enjoyed our Corned Beef Hash breakfast with YUMMY biscuits!! Our Server, Brittany was so nice and accommodating, our coffee cups were never empty. The Ladies Room is adorably decorated. Look forward to our return someday.

This is just one of the many wonderful experiences at the Madonna Inn. Best diner food around, perfectly poached eggs, and you can get the humongous slice of pink champagne cake any time.

The servers are generally super nice and attentive. The coffee is the best around town. The Pecan Pie was lacking in flavor but everything else was amazing!

The BEST patty melt I’ve had in years! Burger patty very juicy and flavorful. German Chocolate Cake is to die for delicious and huge. Three of us gals ordered one piece to share, and still had over a half piece leftover. My two sisters also loved their lunches of hot beef sandwich and fish sandwich. Highly recommend the Copper Cafe at Madonna Inn.

Love eating breakfast here!! Have been coming here for years and am never disappointed! Everything is good but hubby always gets the corned beef hash with poached eggs plate! He loves it!!!

It's near impossible for me to drive through SLO without stopping at the Copper Cafe. I have been coming here for over 20 years now. I really love the food and atmosphere at the Copper Cafe. Breakfast is filling, lunch is always on point and dessert... OMG, how can you not have dessert here? The service is always friendly and a delight. It's the perfect meal spot on my way back from the Bay Area to OC.

If you're going down Highway 101 through California, the Madonna Inn is a MUST STOP, for many, many reasons: this is just the opening act. Positively the most decadent Schwarzwälderkirschtorte and pink champagne cake you'll ever have.

I've bought 3 cakes since I've been introduced to the amazing bakery, all 3 cakes were amazing very tasty. The last one was an order and the color scheme was everything I hoped for. Thank you for having delicious cakes, not too sweet just perfect. 💜✨ definitely going to be buying cakes for everyone I know on their birthdays.... best birthday gift 🎁 anyone can receive

Excellent service, wonderful food and divine desserts. Not to mention a picturesque setting. This is a place not to be missed and very conveniently located right off the 101 if you are traveling through the area. Put this place on your bucket list for sure!

I had ham & eggs with hashbrowns and my husband had linguica & eggs with hasbrowns his hash browns were almost burnt and mine were not even slightly brown ham was dry. We also bought a apricot pie that wasn't worth the price I paid for it. Disappointed

After a long morning at the DMV, I wanted to treat myself and 3 young children, who behaved so great, to a nice breakfast. When we arrived at the Copper Cafe we were seated at a too large table where the glasses and table were dirty. Waitresses were walking all around us attending to filling ketchup bottles and wiping down menus, yet no one came to our table. After sitting for close to ten minutes without being greeted or served water, we left. I doubt they even know we left. I really wanted to support a local place, but I do not like being treated differently just because I have young children. :(

The food was good, however, the girl working the counter took forever to greet me and take my order. She Never came back to ask how everything was, if I needed any thing else, she just dropped the check and said no rush then just walked off. I had to ask a bus boy for another tea. It wasn’t even busy so her lack customer service was very disappointing. No personality at all.
