The cakes here a lovely and the cupcakes, non-wedding cakes, and other baked goods are very delicious. They've started serving brunch and it is very good. They have a nice selection of coffees and a warm, cozy atmosphere. There is outside seating with a dog dish and I visit with my dog frequently. It has a nice view of Grand Street if you enjoy people watching. The vegetarian options a limited but yummy, and no vegan options thay so can see. The staff is friendly and it has a family run atmosphere.

Cute Cakes Bakery is a...cute place. It's a coffee shop, cafe, and bakery all in one fairly large place. Decided to stop in here because of the good reviews and pick up some cupcakes for a birthday.

Decor and all was very good. Love the custom wrought iron Cute Cakes fence around the outside.

Service seemed friendly enough, but a bit lacking. The gentleman that helped us, I do not remember his name, was distracted or not using his full mental capacity that day. Had to repeat ourselves multiple times when ordering, and was just slow in general. Our order was 6 cupcakes from the case, plus a cake ball. It wasn't until we left and were miles down the road, that we checked our order and noticed the cake ball was nowhere to be found. He forgot to put it in the box. Before turning around to go back, we checked the receipt. Luckily, he hadn't changed us for it either. So, we called it a wash and decided not to go back.

As for the cupcakes themselves, they were disappointing. They were heavy and dense, and seemed moist at a glance. But when actually biting into them, something was off. They were dry in the mouth, but didn't appear that way in physical appearance. Just odd. Flavors were okay. Red velvet was red velvety and the chocolate was very chocolate. Icing was way too sugary and sweet for our tastes. And very grainy. Either not prepared right, or just using regular sugar instead of powdered sugar. The peanut butter icing on the one cupcake hardly tasted like peanut butter. Very disappointing.

I can't really recommend the place. Maybe it was an off day, and others will have better experiences. But we won't be coming back.

Cute place sit and have a cup of coffee. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. The desserts, unfortunately are too sweet for me. So sweet that the flavors don't come through.

Stopped in grab a quick cupcake or two to surprise a friend for her birthday and was blown away with the help. The staffer who helped solved all my problems (nice packaging and some candles) and did it with speed and efficiency and friendliness. And, no small matter, the cupcakes were wonderful. Moist, delicious cake and great icings. The carrot cake was especially good. I highly recommend Cite Cakes and can't wait to get back there to sample some more of their goods.

Love this place for brunch or lunch you can't go wrong with their cupcakes or any pastry. My dog loves the pup cakes too. Staff is always friendly and the cafe is always clean. We love to sit on the outside patio and enjoy the shade, inside is adorable with a little fire place, it is very quaint.

Amazing cakes, cupcakes and variety of adorable decorations. I loved everything they offer. Customer service could definitely improve. I stood around for about 5 min without anyone greeting me or asking what I needed. Good thing the cute cupcakes I bought and other goodies made up for that

Love Cute Cakes! Out of four bakeries that we did tastings at (one was a very posh bakery in La Jolla too) Cute Cakes had the best cake by far!!! We loved the setting, they served us coffee at a little cafe table in the back which was all decorated to celebrate weddings and events. And they wrapped up all the left overs for us! Our wedding cake was beautiful, and it was by far the biggest bang for your buck. Everyone loved the cake, we had so many compliments and all of it was gone by the end of the night. They are a great bakery to work with!

We go to Cute Cakes as a special treat, or, when we want to have great coffee in a comfortable, friendly environment. The staff at Cute Cakes is top notch, they really go the extra mile. On my daughter's birthday we bought assorted gourmet cupcakes so everyone in the family could enjoy their favorite. We love this place and never regret spending our money there.

The heart that goes into the product is worth four stars. On certain days you will receive the warmest greetings accompanied by useful information on the items offered. On other days you will receive less than acceptable customer service. Less than acceptable meaning that you will be flat out ignored while you watch a flock of associates discuss their personal business. Cute Cakes is ideal for locals that work from home or have children. The atmosphere is inviting and charming. From personal experiences with inconsistency I must rate Cute Cakes two stars.

Generous portions. Tasty food. Always more on the plate than I can finish. Cinnamon Rolls are GIANT. Servers are mostly great, a little attitude once in a while.

I come here on a weekly basis to work. Less crowded than Starbucks or other coffee shops. Great food and wonderful staff. Clean and friendly atmosphere.

Amazing bakery here in Escondido. I've been there a few times and every time, the service is always quick and friendly. We usually get some cupcakes in place of birthday cakes and everyone is always amazed when they dig in. They also have plenty of other foods and coffee and also do wedding/specialty cakes. If you are in need of a sweet treat, stop in here!
