We ( 5 of us) have been here quite a few times, as it's the only restaurant near us serving "Germanic" meals. I have never been disappointed or let down; service is friendly and prompt, all questions are answered, and the food is always great. Portion sizes are more the adequate.

My wife who is Czech and I found this place in Placerville. We tried the food and it was just as delicious as the restaurant dishes served in Prague. Excellent food, wonderful Czech beer, friendly people, awesome original cultural find here in California.

Just try the goulash. Do not leave here without trying it. There, you have been warned. Or the pork shank. And whatever that custard cake desert was. Order that. If you bring an appetite they will send you home with a full belly and a take home box.

I had the stroganoff, and my husband had the sausage platter with a mug of their pilsner. His came with spätzle and sauerkraut and sweet purple cabbage. He had a cup of beef barley soup that also came with it. I had a salad with mine, and the stroganoff came with either spätzle or dumplings. I chose the spätzle. It had bits of bacon and other goodness in it. Yum! Let me just say … we brought a LOT of food home with us! We split a piece of what they called "apple kolache pie". We're not sure what all was in it (other than grated apples … some sort of seeds or ground something and cream filling and pure heaven), but it was AMAZING. Order that! You will not be sorry!!! Be sure to arrive hungry … and be prepared to leave STUFFED. MMMMM … yes … we'll be going back!

A great an traditional Czech restaurant. Generous portions and rich in flavor. Delish!! My wife is Czech and she was emotional at our dinner!! She kept saying how it "reminded her of home". That says a lot. All our Czech friends come here as well. Lots of imported ingredients from Europe. A must try. Anything, you can't go wrong. Family owned and served. Enjoy! Come prepared to eat!!
