This is a good weekend to visit Gillespie Field airport for airplane viewing and some really good food. Relax, we make great Mimosas or have a beer! Rootbeer Floats and Sundaes! It's the weekend!! Kids love this place too!

Yesterday was our first time, and it was so good! I've lived in East County my whole life, and can't believe I've never been before. I definitely recommend the Gillespie biscuits and gravy with country potatoes!

This is a family friendly, reasonably priced cafe with planes galore! Great happy hour drink prices and monthly live music!

The airfield is dripping with nostalgia. The Navy Trainer plane ride was extraordinary! The cafe had good food and drinks with great service. Definitely going back.

So cool! My kids had a blast watching the planes and my 3 yr old even got some waves from the pilots as they pulled away! Food was good with big portions and great friendly service!

It's such a cool place. Friendly, cozy right next to local air strip. First Fridays great music, craft beer and fun dancing or just chilling! Don't miss Fly Days, exciting vintage planes.

I take my boys here all the time. They are fascinated by the planes and the fuel trucks. Certainly an experience you should have at any age. Service is excellent and friendly.

I live on the other side of the airport from the cafe and only recently read about it. I decided that brunch between my errands on Saturday, would be nice. After finally finding it (it is tucked away between 2 flight schools and the airport), I was pleasantly surprised with the closeness to the airport and the friendly atmosphere. Food was very good (California omelette, potatoes, biscuit and a mimosa) as was the service. I will definitely be returning and bringing friends.

I just wanted to thank the gentleman who allowed my family & I onto his plane Saturday morning. It was our first time at this cafe and we couldn't of had a better experience. The food and service was exceptional. Thank you very much.

Great food! Their blueberry pancakes are delicious and abundant in the berry department! :-D. Our server is awesome! Watching the planes take off and land is pretty cool, too. We shall return!

We had a relaxing lunch there today with our 2 canine babies. The food is always good and the service is friendly. Watching the planes take off and land is lots of fun too!
