Incredible breakfast!! I got what felt like a ten pound plate of flavorful pancakes, eggs, bacon, skillet potatoes/onions/peppers, and an English muffin for less than 10 dollars. My coffee was delicious and inventive as well. My wife and I will be back when we visit San Diego!

You order and pay your meal at the counter near the entrance. Look for a seat inside or outside and the staff will find you by calling out your name. I initially sat outside next to the restaurant, but then I noticed people were going behind the shop right across the path from Kono's. Curious I went to check it out and there was a patio with tables and chairs on the beach with a perfect view of the ocean! I enjoyed my huge chorizo breakfast burrito (couldn't finish it. I suggest you share) while watching surfers hitting the waves. Awesome start to the day.

Great breakfast for a great price! My favorite is the Big Breakfast #1 with an extra plate to split it with my wife. When they say big breakfast, it really is big. The eggs and pancakes are good but the potatoes are the best. There's a bike rack nearby so you ride here and lock it up. There's outdoor seating right next to Kono's and across the path on a deck overlooking the beach/ocean. The deck seating is the best. You can watch the waves, surfers, birds, etc.

It was better than I expected here. It's on the boardwalk, with some indoor seating and an oceanview patio, the service is pretty quick and staff is helpful and friendly. I went later in the afternoon so it wasn't crowded.

I got the french toast, bacon, & scrambled eggs. It has good presentation, and is a good portion. The french toast seemed to deteriorate after a little while. The eggs have cheddar cheese mixed in, and the bacon is on the crispy side (which I prefer). Overall, it's a great choice!

Do you like delicious breakfast fare? Would you enjoy eating bacon steps from the ocean? Kono's is the perfect spot to gorge yourself into a coma for that nap on the beach. The portions are ridiculously big. Next time I'm going to buy two meals for our whole family.

We tried a couple different breakfast burritos and pancakes. The french toast looked great, too.

I had the egg scramble and it was fantastic!!!! The Kino potatoes are so good! I never thought anyone would be able to match my father--in-law's breakfast potatoes, well the Kono potatoes far exceeded my expectations! The portions were huge! This was the best breakfast that I have ever had. Price more than reasonable.Coffee was delicious!

Been coming here for years. Long line but it moves VERY fast... like 15 feet out the door but from that point you'll jabber your food in 10-15 minutes...no sh.... This place is a well oiled machine. No dairy, no gluten, NO PROBLEM!
Get the scramble, tell them no cheese, and no milk in the eggs...substitute the English muffin for sour dough bread (if you were born in a barn, sour dough has no gluten;) ha)
The faves by far are the big breakfast #1 and #2... pancakes or French toast.
Enjoy!

Great big portions of delicious food! The breakfast potatoes were the best part of my meal! Scrambled eggs, english muffin, and french toast were all delicious and cooked perfectly! A bit tricky to find a seat but we sat right on the ocean which was great!

Breakfast and lunch only. Outstanding for what they do. Always busy. Always friendly. Great ocean views of Pacific Beach surfing. Just simply The Best!

This is a San Diego institution, a landmark, a must stop for anyone coming to San Diego or living here!!!! I've been taking my children there since the late 80's, Big Breakfast #1 or #2 you can't go wrong! Best breakfast in town!!! Eat indoors or go out and eat by the sea and watch all the characters cruise up and down the boulevard that frequent The P.B. area, great people watching! I've been taking my children there since they were very young and we all love it still!

I have been coming to this place for about two years: it never disappoints. The wait can be a little long but the coffee, cannolis, and sandwiches are spectacular!

Only been able to eat here once because there was no line that time, but it was soooooooo good. The price is right and the quality of food shows why there is always a line

Always a good sign when there is a line out the door at 8am on a weekday! Once we ate we knew why. The meals were of very large portions, and were very tasty. The Kono potatoes were one of the highlights. If you have the chance to stop by Pacific Beach for breakfast, this is the place to go!
