The Living Room Coffeehouse was busy when we went in for lunch on a Friday. The service was okay. Food was okay. Overall it was an okay experience. The restaurant entrance seemed slightly confusing with stairs leading up and down and no signage for which way lead to what. The restaurant seemed slightly dirty at the time we went. My group all ordered sandwiches and they were decent. Not the worst place to grab food but also not the best.

I come here often to get work done, read, or just to stop in while I walk around the area. The service is always extremely friendly, and the food is on point. Like many places in San Diego, they have a rotating selection of local brews, free Wi-Fi, and a multi-gender bathroom that is kept clean.

Oh, and the coffee is great too.

Chaos in the Cafe
It would be relatively peaceful at Living Room Cafe LJ tonight, EXCEPT for 2 little girls running around the cafe and yelling.

They're getting in the paths of wait staff (who look annoyed). No adult is supervising them.
It's difficult to read and enjoy my food & tea, because of their ruckus.

Their parent seems to be sitting outside. I don't think a staff member has said anything to her.
They've also been running and yelling on the front sidewalk. A MANAGER should have addressed this!

The brownie was good, as usual. Ask for it warmed. Ice tea was fine.
Staff are good, otherwise.
FYI, they don’t have A/C. On warm days it will be hot inside.

Really nice. It was cozy and quaint. Coffee, smoothies and food was good/decent, nothing spectacular but good. The desserts we had, however, were amazing- yumm! Had a few tables out front for patio seating which was nice. The employees were all lovely, very friendly! Service was great. All in all it was obviously nice enough. We went twice. :)

I happen to find myself here every time it rains in San Diego. You can enjoy looking through the large windows in the back, sipping hot coffee and socializing or reading a book. I happen to really enjoy the Spanish guitar music they used to play, and am a little sad that they've turned to pop, which to me seems out of place for such a nostalgic venue, with its nice paintings and velvet chairs. When it comes to the food, I struggle sometimes to find something vegetarian friendly but overall what we order is very good. It's a nice place to take writers, artists, grad students, and older relatives, although families with small children seem to enjoy it from time to time too.

Everytime I'm in the area I go here. It has amazing views, great coffee and treats, and so much more. You feel like you're at home, but with a special flare.

Delicious and friendly...quaint. I sat outside on a bench, sipped my latte and enjoyed the marina view, people walking by. Love peacefulness the atmosphere holds for visitors. Great little coffee shop.

Good food but bad service and over priced. They messed up my order and when I nicely asked for what I actually ordered they were rude and making rude side comments, and the pasta is super hard like they burnt it in the microwave and over priced.

This Living Room in La Jolla has a lovely view of the ocean in the rear. There is a wide selection of beverages and light food. However, parking was a short walk away. It was open and very busy on Christmas day, but worth the wait.

This is my favorite coffee house in San Diego county. I have loved coming to this place; when I was 18 to smoke hookah, when I was 21 to grab a beer with good company, and now at 26 to enjoy a bowl of soup and coffee. Great atmosphere and comfortable vibes make this place my go to. They have a large menu with inexpensive but quality options. It's more than your average coffee joint.
