Our McArthur’s delivery van is getting a workout with nearly 50 cake deliveries in just our FIRST weekend! We will be visiting homes throughout St. Louis including Wentzville, Kirkwood, Chesterfield, O’Fallon, Maryland Heights, North City, and South County this weekend.
We felt there was a need for free delivery and you proved us right. Thanks for the incredible response St. Louis.

Each year we create our helmet cakes to celebrate the two teams facing in the Super Bowl. This year we “celebrate” all the officials who put the Lambs and the Cheaters in the game instead of the real champs. Go KC and NOLA! The real champs.

Happy Wednesday, friends of McArthur’s Bakery!
As we cross over from one year to the next, it’s time to stop and reflect on the successes of the prior year and establish goals for the new year.
2018 was a fantastic year for McArthur’s. Over 550 couples celebrated their special day with our wedding cakes. We baked and decorated over 33,000 party cakes, and we hand-scooped over 175,000 gooey butter cakes. We are so thankful for the incredible patronage our customers give us eac...h year.
2019 is off to an exciting new start for us as well. In the upcoming weeks, we will be launching our new website with an online ordering system where you can choose from several hundreds of our pre-designed party cakes and your favorite bakery items from your home or office. We see more and more facets of business headed in the direction of online services and delivery, especially in the food and grocery industries.
This new, convenient way to do business will allow us to become everyone’s neighborhood bakery instead of a select group of neighborhoods. We will now be everyone’s in-home bakery.
But 2019 will also be a bittersweet year as we continue to downsize our brick and mortar locations and focus more on an online model. For different reasons, we recently found ourselves at a decision point in our current leases with our Kirkwood and Chesterfield Valley locations.
After much consideration, we made the difficult decision that this was the perfect time for us to close both locations, refocus on being St. Louis’ party cake bakery, and push forward with a delivery model. Both the Kirkwood and Chesterfield Valley locations will close at the end-of-business on Thursday, January 31st.
We are very committed to keeping our store at our flagship location in South County, where all of our cakes and baked goods are made fresh daily.
Lastly, we are so thankful for our time in Kirkwood and Chesterfield, and for all the patronage our customers have given us since opening our doors. We are certainly not leaving either community we have come to love. We are just serving you in a different way.
Thank you again for your continued patronage, and we look forward to serving you for another 60 years!

Happy Friday. For the safety of our loyal customers and die-hard employees, we are implementing a "snow schedule" for today and Saturday.
South County (Lemay): Closing @ 6:00PM on Friday; Open @ 9:00AM on Saturday (Subject to change).
Kirkwood: Closing @ 4:00PM on Friday; CLOSED Saturday.
... Chesterfield Valley: Closing @ 4:00PM on Friday; CLOSED Saturday.
If you have a special order that was to be picked up on Saturday, we are calling each of you to make arrangements to either pick up your order later today or come to our South County store after 9:00AM (subject to change.)
