Love this place. Very good place for groups. Drinking games, corn hole, jenga...hangout by the bar or by the water. Many places to sit.
I saw many weddings happening there so a wedding spot as well.
I got the beer can chicken at the restaurant. Good to share...for 2 people...but great flavors.
Great beer selection.

After a huge bike ride up from the Pacific Coast Highway this destination tucked away in the middle of the hills of Malibu was a great place to grab a drink and something to eat.

Part country western patio, part B&B wedding destination, part BBQ spot, this hidden gem was quickly full.of tourists and locals alike.

The journey up the hills were part of the experience, and the views were exhilarating. Highly recommend for day-drinking and sampling BBQ and ice creams- they even had a bar with specialty drinks the time I was there for Oktoberfest.

I was here for a party. Lots to do, fun atmosphere. Fun for all ages! Food is okay, nothing terrible, but nothing to write home about. I will definitely come back!

Friendly staff really cool vibe. We went around 11am and there was a wait but we didn't have to wait long. They have a seat yourself policy. I ordered the bean burger and it was the best I've tasted in a long time! It is surrounded by rich culture and the best part of-course is- bottomless mimosas!

We came here for dinner on a Friday night, very nice setting, wasn't crowded. We're vegan not many selections but our waiter was very helpful and acomodating with our salads and sides. Great drinks, great ambiance, coming back for Sunday brunch soon.

So I wanted to enjoy my birthday for a simple brunch, which I did, and my friends were able to enjoy the property until this soured. After my group of five easily spent over 300 dollars, we were accused of smoking weed, to say the least, on the property. I have to say that first of all, my group was composed of Latin, Asian, Black, and White individuals, and the second someone smelled weed on the property, my group was accused and asked to leave the property...the nerve!!!
A "manager" was brought onto the scene and he, a white man, clearly wanted nothing to do with us. He was EXTREMELY dismissive, rude and I have never faced so much racism somewhere I have invested so much money into.
My entire party and I, after having a decent brunch experience, were disappointed, distraught, caught off guard, and sent such a clear message of racism onto a business. I AM DISGUSTED! We were easily accused and asked to leave, without us being heard or able to claim our case. Is Malibu Cafe a sign of the distraught times? Too into pointing fingers before hearing someone out? Or just plain R A C I S T?! All of the above if you ask me, all of the above

The service was lovely and the views and property deserve 5 stars for sure. Food was descent but the fact that they play country music through out the property completely kills the experience. I asked the waiter and he said they play the same playlist of country songs all day every day. I don't have an issue with the genre of country music, it's that you can't escape it no matter where you end up on the property. If the management insists on Country music, why not play classics like dolly and Willy? It was a very family friendly place though so I do recommend it if you can stand the loud country music. Such a shame that they are so stubborn about the music. There are much classier options like Malibu Farm Restaurant and Sunset restaurant. Also this place is a little pricey so do keep that in mind.

Atmosphere is a solid 4-5. Food at the cafe is a 2. We had ribs, fried chicken, brisket sandwich and beer can chicken. The beer can chicken is good not great. The rest was sub-par. Staff was attentive and the setting is nice but man the food is no Bueno.

This is just a great restaurant, hotel ranch in the middle of Malibu. The food is southern comfort and the staff is friendly. It s a great place for birthday parties and special occasion events. It's busy on w/ends so plan ahead.

Festive decor and friendly staff. It's rustic-chic. Good food and cocktails. A bit pricey but very nice for special occasions

Hip ambiance, it's very bright and clean looking. All their food employs fresh clean ingredients. It comes through in their dishes. The staff isn't overly friendly, they are very matter of fact people, probably because they are very busy. The place was packed during lunch time on a Saturday. Self seating, people are in and out pretty quickly so there shouldn't be much trouble finding seats. The food is on point. Great flavors, presentation is good and you actually get served very quickly. We ordered three items and from order to first bite, it was like 10 minutes. Parking was a bit of a hassle. We had to park on 4th ave and Orlando which was like a 3 minute walk away. I think this is a must try gem in L.A.The Malibu Cafe is best.

This place has a scrumptious rib eye! Great service, reasonable prices. Careful where you walk - there's mud in some spots.
