I met a friend for lunch in what looks like a home. It is a charming place for breakfast, lunch or just one of their fabulous home baked goods, fresh pies galore. Portions are large. You do have to wait on line to order. It was worth it. Parking is on the street and you can pick a table on the porch or inside, your choice.

Great food for a low price. Tasty deserts. Yuppy customers but thats not the restaurants fault.

When in need of pastrami, Thyme In the Ranch is definitely the place to be. It's not too cheap for a sandwich but it's a large sandwich that tastes amazing. I got the #19 and my friend got the one with sauerkraut. They were both very good and filling!

We were there around 4pm on a Friday. We got the last table available indoor at that time but there were a few outside seating as well.We had a chocolate Kouign Amman, a plain one, and a cup of latte. The plain one was perfect. For the chocolate KEY, I loved the filling but the dough was a bit over baked. It was crunchy but also hard to bite.I would suggest when you order from the counter, pick the light golden ones.
We were not big fans of the coffee served here though. Both the latte this time and espresso we had during our last visit were too sour to our taste. We had a great time in b.Patisserie and we will definitely go back for more Kouign Shamans.

In Rancho Santa Fe and this gorgeous little crowded place doesn't accept credit cards?! Who carries cash nowadays?!

Giant slices of cake. Old folks love this place and we all know our elders are full of wisdom so that suggests you should go here too.
