gourmet sandwiches they are. this place is kinda of a cross btn sit down n fast food, but the food was delicious. Fresh salads and sandwiches!!! Southwest chicken sandwich and the protein salad are my favorites.

This morning I place four orders to be picked up at 11:30 am. When I got there the order line was out the door and not just outside the door. The manager told me to stand in line to pay for my order. I told him 'no' I would have been standing in line for at least 20 - 30 minutes while my called-in order was waiting on the shelf. How ridiculous is that!!! Urbane Cafe should have another register for the take-out customers. This place is not for those that only have 30 minutes for lunch. I was grateful that they let me pay ahead of the line but they made it a point to say that they will do it just this one time. They just lost a customer.

Surprisingly good from a nonvegetarian eater! Very crowded inside dining. But they also have outside dining as well.

Great place to grab a quick bite. The bread on the sandwiches is delicious. I recomend the tri tip

One of my most favorite places to go. If we're in the area, we're going to Urbane. Cilantro Chicken Salad with Chipotle ranch dressing, or the unlisted Turkey Melt sandwich are my jam.

Absolutely love Urbane! All sandwiches and salads are great. My personal favorite is the Southwest sandwich or the Protein salad. A little pricey but you get a lot of food.

Had the Cobb salad with cilantro vinaigrette. Pretty good food. Pretty loud and crowded though.

So Cal is the best sandwich. Awesome that every sandwich comes with fresh salad with their vinegarette dressing. The bread in these sandwiches is amazing also!!

There's probably no other place in San Diego where you can get a high quality healthy meal with a decent portion size for under $10. Meticulously prepared salads with the perfect dressing, fresh baked bread and high quality sandwich fillings. It gets crowded from 1130 to about 1pm but the line moves fast. Make sure you try the Baja chicken enchilada soup.
