Vic is a fabulous guy. I have eaten in the deli itself, but usually get delivery. He has a huge selection and has breakfast until 11 AM. He opens at 7 AM. For breakfast I like the Vic's Special - 2 eggs, American cheese, choice of bacon or ham, and Tabasco sauce unless you tell him otherwise all on an onion bagel. I also like the cream cheese on an everything bagel or Onion or Parmesan and spinach. For lunch I go for the garden delight, tuna salad, tuna melt, turkey and artichoke panini, Reuben, turkey and pepper jack panini sandwiches. I really like the stuffed avocado salad. I always get it with the tuna salad stuffing.

Unfortunately, my recent visit to Vic'S Deli & Cafe left me underwhelmed. The coffee was lukewarm, and the ambiance felt sterile. It lacked the charm I look for in a coffee shop. I hope they work on improving the quality and warmth of their service.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted me as I walked in, and the barista's warm smile made me feel right at home. My experience at Vic'S Deli & Cafe was less than stellar. The coffee was served cold, and the staff appeared disinterested at the 7777 Alvarado Rd #400, La Mesa, CA 91942, USA location. I won't be returning anytime soon.
