We've been visiting the Back Door Cafe since it first opened. And have been enjoying it ever since! We don't live in the area anymore (moved to the coast upon retirement) but always make it back for our Valentines Day celebration. Simply love the food, owners & ambiance.

The Back Door Cafe is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is excellent & waitstaff is great. It has great ambiance.

My daughter and I just went in for dessert and wine and were amazed with their homemade creme brûlée. Loved the personalized service and small town feel. Would highly recommend definetly coming back to visit again.

Little noisy but I can live with that for top notch food and staff. Great to find a top trained chef in a small town...always to a great and good experience!

LOVE that they are across the road from Playhouse Smithville and we can have dinner and a show! Everything we've had has been top notch and the filet is so thick and cooked to perfection. Thank you! Only wish you were here in Smithville all year long.

Great lunch today with friends from San Antonio and Minnesota. The Brussels sprouts and creme brûlée were excellent.

Great food. Great service. We have eaten there several times. There is no bad food choice.

Back Door Cafe is a wonderful restaurant owned and operated by good people who serve great food. It's a great place for lunch and dinner with family or friends.
