We love the Black Kettle and happy they serve breakfast all day.. I wish they would add one new dish-- a scrambled hobo everything in it, meat, onions, bell peppers, hash browns, cheese topped with eggs (of customer's choice) on top and a side of gravy .. hobos are tasty

The service was very good and the food was very good. Always recommend chicken fried steak!

The best chicken fried steak I have eaten ... Baked potato was perfect ... Our waitress was very sweet ... Loved it ... Very clean inside

Nice small town place with great food, service, and nice people work there. Reasonable prices and great breakfast!

Nice place in our little town! One of the few sit down restaurants that we have. Good food, friendly service!

My daughter and I shared the catfish dinner and it was delicious, as was the fried okra and the broccoli cheese soup that came with it. The fried green tomatoes were awesome! We were there at a very busy time and received excellent, fast, friendly, service.

Love this place! Went the other night & my son wasn’t feeling well. Our waitress gave him crackers and was so patient with us. He ended up getting sick before we could finish our food & she quickly got us to-go boxes and drinks. Very satisfied.

Just had the chicken fried steak lunch special with the brocolli cheese soup!! So good!!! Everything was so delicious !! We will definitely be returning soon! Oh! And the peach cobbler was amazing!! Loved it!

Had the takeout lunch special...it was wonderful!! Chicken spaghetti with the best turnip greens I have had in a long time!! Keep up the great work!!

Great food. Has the CFS special for lunch. The waitress I ended up with could be more attentive. The other waitresses have all been great though at other visits.

Excellent service every time we have been there! Food has always been great! Just glad to have another place to eat in Gilmer besides La Finca! And just always love our waitress!

Awesome yummylicious food and I love the waitress's especially one by the name Jennifer Lewis lacy give her a raise she has a beautiful personality.

Clean and service with a smile. Very good fried pickle spears and off the hook chicken fried steak. One wrong thing was, I asked for French fries and I got mashed potatoes but those were very very good!!! I'll be back for sure!!!

Service was HORRIBLE!!!! I waited 25 minutes for a waitress to come get our drink order and she just just kept walking by, saying I'll be right back. After the 6th I'll be right back, We got up and left!!

Went in they told us to sit anywhere we sat in front booth 5 mins later no menu no nothing. We got​ up to leave they just said goodbye and continued​ rolling silver Ware. Bad service not sure about food . So went to Lori's Sweets and Eats where the food is always good and the service is even better.
