Café Barron’S Description
For nearly 40 years, Barron's has been a staple of Longview, Texas' retail community. From it's start as a bookstore in 1972, the then 1, 500 square foot store has grown to over ten times that size today to also include a women's boutique, body & bath, home décor, and much more. In addition to this "specialty department store", Jim and Julia Barron also opened Café Barron's in 1995 offering gourmet fare in a polished casual setting. This unique blend has captured the attention of The Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, and Texas Monthly to name a few.

Wow we had lunch today and it was great!! I had the chicken schnitzel with mushroom risotto! Great stuff! Wife enjoyed the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. Terrific! We will be back often!!!!
Wonderful food and staff. Very attentive and the food was absolutely perfect... Lobster Ravioli was out if this world.....thank you Cafe Barron's for such a great dining experience. We will definately be back.....
We really had the most enjoyable experience last evening for our girl's night out at Barron's. We were greeted with the tastiest, warm bread with butter. The special of blackened fish was on point and my friends raved about the crunchy chicken dish. Our martinis were chilled just right and oh so tasty. Service was attentive but not intrusive...which is perfect when you're at girls night out, spinning tales, and you don't want to have to restart your conversation with interruptions! The restaurant/bar is tastefully decorated with lighting that makes the room perfectly cozy. Our visit was further enhanced by the gracious charm of the owner, Julia, who regaled us with her wit and warmth. Just a lovely time was had by all, thank you!
We love to eat at Barron’s! It’s our number one go to spot for dinner. Of course, I love to shop there too!!!
We love grabbing a meal at Barron's! It's a great option to have in our community. They recently hosted our office Christmas party and did an excellent job! The food was prepared on time for our big party (of over 30 guests), and everyone enjoyed the selections on the menu! They even made a point to decorate the tables for us to make it extra special. Thanks guys!
We had dinner last night at Barron's to celebrate a family member's birthday. EVERYTHING was fabulous! Julia Barron went above and beyond to make it a super special occasion! I'd highly recommend keeping Barron's on your list of delicious places to eat. The atmosphere was lovely and everything we ate was devine! Madison was our server and she was adorable too! Great experience 5 Stars plus!
To say I am a frequent patron of Barron’s is probably an understatement. I love the family, the staff, the food and the ambiance! Last night I texted the manager (Kamma - you’re just the best ever!) and asked for my favorite table to be reserved for a birthday dinner. We arrive to a fully decorated setup with a white table cloth, candles lit, beads and party streamers. The Barrons and their staff go above and beyond to make guests feel like family. Thank you for all that you do for me and for Longview!
Lunch food was amazing! We also love going to Barron's after dinner for drinks. They have great drinks, great food, and great service.
LOVE IT!!! My go to lunch with the ladies. I love the staff and I love the setting. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu or from the bar.
I don't often do reviews, but Barron's is so consistently delicious that i am making an exception. At dinner ask if they have hot and crunchy shrimp. They have excellent cocktails.
I came in on Friday to ask if Barron’s did Tea Parties. I was told they didn’t but was more than willing to accommodate. We came in Saturday around noon and everything was set up so cute. Everything turned out perfectly. You made a couple of six year olds very happy & gave them memories they will treasure. Thank you!!!
Barron’s is our usual Friday night when we’re in town. It never disappoints! From the moment we walk in we feel like family. Kamma attends to every detail and takes care to make sure our favorite wine is stocked. She even puts up with us changing vegetables or sauces that are on the menu. The restaurant is well run and the food is consistently good. I would recommend Barron’s for lunch, dinner, or Saturday brunch!
Barron's has a greater atmosphere. Lunch was delicious and beautifully plated. Our server Aaron went over and beyond to make our lunch special. Longview is blessed to have a place with such class!
Usually, my experience is very positive. But, one day I had crab cakes for lunch and --they were burned (on the bottom). I ate what I could, did not complain and still left a tip. My only BAD experience, but---that dish should not have been served. I am still up and going--and I wish the best for Barron's !!
I’m about to leave Barron’s cafe right now, the food was ok but the service was terrible. It was perhaps one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve had in Longview. The hostess received us and seated us as if she was obligated and not paid, when we asked for a different table she sat us wiped the table and did not dry it, the server later came and gave us an attitude when we said that it was wet and sticky and wanted another table. You pay too much for the poor service you get in this place. Music was good though.
Expecting so much more out of One of Longviews nicest places to eat. Horrible service. Horrible. Over 10 minutes to get waited on, over an hour to get our dinner, which was wrong, then another 20 minutes to get the right food. Wouldn't recommend it.
Birthday lunch ruined! My cousin and I went in for lunch at 11:30, were quickly seated, order was taken, and after 45-50 minutes waitress comes to the table and says we’re out of the meat for your Reuben. She said I could choose ham, turkey, or another sandwich. At that point I was ready to leave, but didn’t want to spoil her lunch since she picked Barron’s. I ordered another sandwich and the order was then out in 5 minutes. We did speak with an employee and they checked to see when order was turned in and said it wasn’t that long between order and delivery of food. No, I’m sorry or offer a discount or anything. We watched others come in after us, eat, and leave. We left there at 1:30.
Very poor service.
This was probably the best example of the worst customer service EVER. I am not from this area but my co-worker suggested we eat here. First of all, our ten minute wait we were quoted turned into a 25 minute wait & then they never called us. I'm not even going to discuss the boutique. Too many side eyes our way & lack of interest we were there. Disgusted by their behavior, we happen to go check with the hostess to see if our table was ready. We were seated then served drinks & bread. No one came to our table after. Twenty minutes later we got up & walked out. That was a good waste of my lunch hour. The restaurant wasn't so slammed that we should have been treated that way. It was actually after the lunch hour we arrived. That's the upsetting part. Severely disappointed!
It’s sad to say but today me and my husband had the worst costumer service experience at Barron’s , the waitress even did not know the specials , you pay too much for the poor service you get in this place , the employees need to change their attitude with costumers. Really disappointed . The complete costumer service experience it’s everything.
