My family went for dessert as we heard about Chef Point bread pudding which they are famous for. The first point is, they are way over priced. And the second point is, their chocolate cake was $9.00 and it tasted like a box cake!!!!! Nothing fancy about the cake. Just a plain chocolate with ice cream. I was expecting to be awed by a slice of cake that costs $9.00. I have eaten cake from a local grocery store that tasted better than Chef Point’s chocolate cake and for a whole lot less money!

Fantastic meal, great atmosphere. Ever since we saw this place on diners, drive ins, and dives we had to try it. The interior decor is beautiful and calming. The food is fantastic, no weak links on the menu. I highly recommend the 'better than sex' fried chicken!

What a pleasant surprise. Looking for restaurants open on Thanksgiving. We had prime rib and stuffed pork chop. Delicious. We will definitely come back!

Chef Point Cafe is awesome! We hire Chef point for all of our events so we see them quite a few times every year, the food is wonderful and the service is even better! All I do is email Paula the time, place, and amount of people and then forget about it because she makes every aspect of the catering worry free. Ever worried about the food not showing up on time for your big presentation? Need not here, Chef point is always on time and brings that "High Class" touch of value every time! Even the disposable eating utensils look like real silverware!!!! Trust me, if you use Chef Point for your next event, your guests will be talking about you for months to come!

Brunch and dinner are both amazing. Some really good apps too. The chicken and waffles! Great steak/lamb too. Go on a night when It's nice out on the patio.

Excellent food every time I visit. Recommend the stuffed pork chop...it’s quite a bit of food but you’ll thank me later. Menu is different depending on day of the week so check before you go if interested in a specific dish.

Slow service even though there was a 1 to 1 server to table ratio. Over cooked eggs then undercooked them. Manager couldn't figure out why we were unhappy with bad eggs. Two of us were dining together and they sent one plate out almost 10 minutes before the 2nd. Although our waitress was friendly, our service was extremely slow.

We had very high hopes for this place. We had been looking forward to brunch here for some time and drove a relatively long way to come here. We wanted to enjoy our brunch, really. Unfortunately, Chef Point didn't come anywhere close to living up to the hype and we will likely not return.

Please keep in mind this is just based on the dessert. I ordered some pickup from this place since me and the lady had a sweet tooth. Extremely dissatisfied! At 9 dollars for chocolate cake I was expecting something along the lines of cheesecake factory which charges that much but gives you a decent size piece of cake and taste way better. This was just a sheet cake with confectionery sugar in top with a warm chocolate sauce that was pretty basic with side of ice cream that was again meh. The bread pudding wasn't my taste either. I wouldn't recommend getting dessert from this place it's not worth it at all. If you're going to offer dessert at least try. This was the most basic attempt for an outrageous price. Pictures attached of what we got.

I've watched this place go from a gas station with a deli counter to a TV famous restaurant that sells gas. I've also watched the food go from amazing to okay at best back to above average high end food. We still enjoy eating here but the draw isn't what it once was. With that said I can't say I've had a bad thing off the menu and I've eaten most of it. If the food was still as good as it was before becoming TV famous it would be 5 star for sure.

This was our 3rd visit to this wonderful restaurant! Delicious food, great service and nice atmosphere. Our only disappointment was that they no longer serve the delectable Fried Green Tomatoes.

Excellent food! I had the duck(which was the most expensive thing on the menu at $34); which came on a bed of rigatoni with a slightly spicy orange sauce. It wasn't too spicy; since I don't like pepper. The menu was varied as were the prices; but most were in the moderate range. Next time I'm going to try the eggplant parmigiana.
It's possible to drive right by and not know it was a restaurant. It looks just like any other gas station/convenience store; but wait until you get inside! It's huge! They have expanded inside and also have an outside eating area. The best way to not miss it, is to ask Google to take you there. That's what I did after I passed it by and finally realized I had missed it. Good old Miss Google guided me right there: "Hello, Google," I said. "How can I help you," she replied. I told her to "take me to 5901 Watauga Road," and she said, " Sure, I can do that." I LOVE Miss O.K. Google!

A ZERO STAR would better described my experience today. My daughter & her fiance, who was able to get a leave from the Air Force, took me to Chef Point to celebrate Morher's Day. They both ordered pasta & I ordered a medium steak. The food came out & I cut into the steak & it was well done (no pink). The server took it back & said someone will be come out to talk to me. A heavy, not in black uniform, I guess is a management staff since he never introduced himself nor apologize for my inconvenience. He said "well, I'll have to cook your steak rare in order for it to be like you wanted" ?????? What the hell does that mean? Is rare = medium? What happened to Medium Rare? Is there no such thing @ Chef Point or the Chef only know 2 level of cooking: Brown & Red?
After patiently waiting while my children already finished their meals, my steak came out again so rare a good vet could have saved it. I sent it back and the server brought it back again and told me to check it, we put it back on the grill for a few minutes. It was still mooing. The heavy set man came back again, did not apologize, and arrogantly said "you need to help me understand what is wrong with this steak." I simply responded, " it was not what I ordered and if you can't cook a steak as ordered then you shouldn't offer it on the menu. My family is already done eating so forget it." Instead of apologizing or offering something else from the menu, offering me something to go since I didn't get to eat, he said "fine". That is how much they value their paying customers....So I left my mother's day dinner having not even gotten a meal, on top of being treated like I was second class and stupid.
I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are not white.

The food is exceptional. I had the chicken pesto pasta today as well as the bread pudding. The pasta was delicious, and to be honest, the bread pudding is unreal. I made the mistake of taking it to go and decided to tell my family about it. It meant I had to share - and we're all wanting more. I had leftovers from the chicken pesto pasta, and even before reheating, it still tasted perfect.

Extremely personable staff and great ambience. Perfect for large groups, weddings, catering, and events (beautiful landscaping). Highly recommend!
