Small mom and pop shop attached to the library. Great coffee selection and also has a nice patio. Have not eaten any desserts here but they look amazing. Every single one. My understanding is that the owner bakes them all from scratch. If I wasn't on a diet I'd try them all they look so good

Great little coffee shop connected right to the library. Very friendly, great for families. The coffee selection is awesome. The food may seem basic, but the breakfast sandwiches are very good, better than Panera or elsewhere, and more generous as well. The prices are very reasonable. It has nice patio seating and there's a beautiful walking path nearby.

Love the atmosphere; the seating could have larger tables, but the small tables do make it easy to come here alone. The coffee and food is great. I only gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 because one of the managers is often rude, which kinda kills the vibe. The lady is so kind though, so she makes up for it! Plus it lacks many power outlets to help me stay and study there for a longer amount of time.

Nice little coffee shop with sandwiches and cakes. Attached to the public library so it kind of reminds me of going to Barnes & Noble back in the day. Also has a nice covered patio out back with ceiling fans, overlooks the canal. After having a chicken salad sandwich and iced tea, walking along the canal was very nice and peaceful. I didn't have any of their coffee drinks, but they offered the usual lattes and fraps and pumpkin this and that... Mostly I really enjoyed the ambience. If I lived in the area I would be there regularly!

I have been coming to this place off and on for the past 10 years since they opened. Never a bad experience, and the best mom and pop coffee shop you will find in the metroplex. Nestled right by the Irving public library and connecting Campion Trail system. Stellar service, never dissapoints. Always a good time at Java Me Up.

Spacious patio with beautiful view of Valley Ranch canal, quality products and professional, friendly staff. It's family owned and the customer service is reflective of an appreciation for each & every patron. Become a regular and support this fine small business.

Hi , I am a regular customer at the cafe considering I am a part of the running club which has its meeting place as the cafe. I just wanted to shout out to Hailee[ hope I got the spelling right] today for just making my coffee the way I want it without me even telling her. I have always seen them greet us with a smile and today I felt they genuinely care for their customers ! Great job !

Good coffee and good cakes. Was easier to order different coffee before they changed their menu, now you have to ask every type of coffee available before ordering. Still good though!

Java always takes great care of me! I've been going for here for years! The coffee is great and the staff is even better!

The only real thing going for it is the convenient location. I ordered a cappuccino and received a boiling hot mess. Over steamed milk, foam with inconsistent air bubbles, and a wait time that tricked me into thinking they were harvesting the coffee beans themselves.

I can't speak about the food as I did not have any but the coffee is definitely overpriced and the baristas could all use a lesson or two in how to organize and prepare drinks.

TL;DR Come here for the convenience not the substance.

This place is great. I just moved here and have come here several times now and it's perfect for studying.

The staff is on point. For example, today, there was no attitude when I asked them to wipe down the table I wanted (they actually apologized to me!). Another employee (or maybe the manager?) walks in and immediately takes my empty plate.

Excellent service and a nice calm vibe.
