Ok first - this is not Maui Wow I, it is now Indigo Brew. The new owner has greatly improved the decor inside. It was an immediate success so its a busy place. Of course the coffee and tea are top notch.

Maui Wowi is now Indigo Brew! Great artsy, community vibe. Coffee goodness plus smoothies. The remodel renders a colorful, spacious feel - perfect setting for coffee with friends or a quiet time with a warm cup o' joe.

I only stopped on my way through town on a long trip. I needed caffeine and caught this place out of the corner of my eye just in time to swing into the parking lot. Lots of parking, in contrast to some of their big-city cousins.

I ordered what apparently is called a "Redeye," a cup of coffee with a nice fat shot of esspresso dumped in just for fun. When I told the barista not to leave room for cream and sugar, I think I saw a little smile.

As a passionate coffee snob who believes you shouldn't critique coffee if you have to alter it beyond recognition, I was extremely impressed with the quality of that offering. A pungent, flavor-filled aroma opened up immediately to reveal the earthy heart of the bean. The first sip was, I kid you not, one of the peak experiences of my life. THAT is the way coffee should taste.

No, I am in no way associated with this place. I also ordered a piece of some sort of fruit bread, I think, and found it dry and sort of lifeless. So no perfect score but big points where they count with me.

Recommended for coffee tasters.

Laid back vibe with attentive baristas to brew their rich java into any blend you prefer. Smoothies and teas are also options. Quiet contemplation or lively conversations are all part of this Hawaiian-themed charm of Wimberley.

Very friendly staff. Very Good coffee and selection of smoothies and iced frappaccinos. Good place for small meetings of 4 or less. Wifi.
