Not to clown on the Houston Art Car Parade, but we've been rocking our own unofficial art car for 15 years. Congrats to all the mobile masterpieces in the parade this year—we hope everyone enjoys the show! 🚗

McDonald's Houston and the Houston Police Department teamed up again for the GHPAL Spring Fling! Coming together as a community and having some fun outdoors is one of our favorite ways to work up an appetite—and we definitely did! Newtexacaligal as she shares how McDonald's Houston is part of her son's STAAR Test success strategy—our annual STAAR Breakfast can be a part of your kiddo's prep too! On April 9, your local McDonald's is offering a free, nutritious breakfast to kids in grades 3 through 8 to help them get a great start on STAAR testing day.

We believe that it is so important to provide not just jobs, but quality learning experiences and growth opportunities for the young people in our community. That's why, tomorrow from 10am-2pm at the HISD Hattie Mae Building, McDonald's owner/operators are participating in Mayor Sylvester Turner's Hire Houston Youth event. We invite Houstonians ages 16-24 to participate in on the spot interviews and job offers— just bring a resume, Texas ID and social security card. Good luck!

Encouraging families in our community is one of our core missions, which is why local owner/operator Dina Whitaker spoke to parents about investing in their children's education and success at Houston Independent School District's Parent University event. We know these kiddos will go far!

Batter up! Local McDonald's owner/operators had a ball providing breakfast for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston 's baseball clinic, hosted by Houston Astros second baseman Tony Kemp. We think he learned a thing or two about stealing bases from our very own Hamburglar! ⚾️

Black owner/operators have impacted the McDonald's brand in countless ways— including the menu. Phil Hagans was the first black owner/operator to sell items such as catfish, grits and teacakes in his restaurants. He was also the first black owner/operator from Houston highlighted in the Wall Street Journal and to receive to receive the Ronald Award. #BlackHistoryMonth
