We had been hearing a lot of good things about Norma's but had never been. I must say that we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was great, and overall we had an awesome time. Definitely looking forward to returning soon.

Wasn't quite please with a chicken fried steak it was too salty and had a different taste to it but Norman's is my favorite place to eat so I'll be back

So yummy comfort food! I had the chicken fried chicken. The roll was super fluffy, buttery, and delish. Then I took home the coconut cream pie. It was perfect. My server was very nice and professional too.

Loved this place! First timer! And I will definitely be returning. The management team, Vince, Judi, and Chris stopped by and welcomed us. Server Lan was amazing as well. Thank you for a good experience for a first timer.

Love Norma's! Great staff, very friendly. All the food was really good. Had fried pork. Awesome! Mushroom gravy, mmmmmm. Had fried okra, coulda been hotter. Fried pickles were great. My only complaint was I wish the pickles were thicker cut. They were really thin and the batter salty. Woulda been better if they were a thicker cut. Just my opinion. Still love this place. Is a little loud, I have an autistic son and he didn't like that. But overall, the food is great you can tell its homemade. The service is over the top excellent. These servers are trained to take their jobs very seriously and they do. Please open a Norma's in Mesquite!! I promise you won't regret it!!

I’ve eaten at Norma’s and Mama’s Daughters for years and love them both. This new location is great. My only complaint is the wait!!! A line is a good sign. It means the food is good!!

I’ve had almost every item on the menu and I’ve NEVER been disappointed. The cornbread is the best I’ve ever had. The portions are more than ample. I’d eat here every day if I could!!!

I love the cafe atmosphere ...the food was very delicious, and the service was great. I will recommend it to all my friends and family....#tastegood

I had chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The service was very good. The only thing I didn't like is that they do not take Discover Card. I am earning 5% cash back credits with Discover at restaurants and really wanted to use my card. I will be back to try the chicken and dressing. My son-in-law had it and it looked amazing.

Free grilled cheese yesterday was GREAT as was the tomato basil soup, fried pickles, & lemon meringue pie...melt in your mouth! Even the ice tea was great! The place was clean & service great! I’ll go back!

First time having breakfast here after the SGC 2017 walk.. a short walk across the street. It was so D'Lish!! Very filling and lots of food! Highly recommend! Great Service!

Meatloaf was good, pot roast needed more flavor. Sweet tea wasn't sweet enough. Chicken fried Chicken was good but dry. The tater soup was delicious...but didn't get enough...too small of a bowl. Veggies were not hot enouph. My waiter wasn't always at our reach had to ask others to get him for us. I wanted a burger but they were out of buns but offered TX toast. So I got the pot roast. I'd try them again. Oh! The rolls were Awsome!

I've only done breakfast at Norma's and I have never had a bad meal. Friendly staff, quick service, great food. It is now my go to for breakfast with the guys

I love their bread and their cinnamon butter, I ordered their new salad and the flavor of the chicken was excellent but the only thing is that the strawberries were acids and it gave a strange flavor to the salad and a lot of salad and just a touch of chicken, the portions should be smaller in the childrens menu, the coffee was delicious and the service was good even though the waitress was new she was very attentive.

Anonymous

I gave it a 4 star rating only because I feel our waitress could've been a little more attentive and happy.First time going, the food was amazing.I love the atmosphere, and absolutely love the booths,Texas flag was a great idea. Will go back again.

I didn’t read the menu closely enough. The burgers, all of them apparently, are double-patty style. *oof*... that’s a lot of burger for me to eat.

Really disappointed in the to-go service today. Order was not placed for 15 minutes while we waited, so it took 30 minutes to get food to go. Then we got home and there's no syrup for pancakes and no gravy for mashed potatoes.

I usually go to the Norma s on West Davis. But was in the neighborhood. It's Monday chicken tortilla soup day so decided to give it a visit. Worst decision ever. Got ignored for at least 10 minutes. Finally a waitress that was not assigned to my table took my order. A little hesitant because it was not her assigned area. But took it anyway. Not the service im used to. From now on I'll stick to my usual Norma's. Can't stop going. I've been going since the early 80's .

Pancakes were dry like carpet the waiter could have told us the pancakes are 14 inch in diameter that way we wouldn't order more than what we could afford to eat when I ask for extra butter for some reason he kept bringing extra packets of butter which we wanted butter for the pancakes not the packets and as far as the biscuits go the soft butter never melted on the biscuit from the time it was brought to our table when I opened it up to put the butter in the middle never did Mel just stay there cold and I felt like the egg brown spots on the legs but yet but the pancakes we're horrible they were so dry just like carpet

Never ever coming back to this place again! Me, my sister, and daughter were eating dinner right now and my daughter got upset she dropped her mash potatoes, so she started crying. Well the MANAGER MIGUEL, came up to me and asked me to take her to the bathroom or to leave with her out of the facility because she was crying?! What the hell?! Isn’t this a family establishment? Isn’t this suppose to be a such a great diner?

Fuck that, my first and last time I ever come back to this place. A place that asks a mom and her child to leave bc their two year old is crying is not a place y’all need our service from.
