I absolutely miss Japan. The food here is my little piece of Japan. I have yet to try anything I didn't enjoy.

The staff was very friendly but the edamame was mushy, the sweet tea tasted synthetic, and the spicy tuna and spicy avocado rolls tasted floral and sweet. It might have just been what I ordered but I left almost all my food on the table and went somewhere else.

It's always a great experience coming here for dinner. It has a great local atmosphere. And the food is so good!

Great food, great value. A tasty and affordable alternative to the high-concept sushi restaurants in the area. They focus on a few traditional favorites in lieu of an expansive menu featuring Americanized novelty dishes.

Wonderful little upper Greenville Japanese place. Walking distance from Village apartments. Super casual counter service atmosphere. Savings on overhead passed down to guests, easy date night for under 30 bucks.

I totally enjoyed this restaurant. they provide classic Japanese food prepared in the traditional style.. Excellent quality, delightful presentation and a small, but very cozy atmosphere. The chef is very professional and cares about the responses from his customers. BTW.. Tampopo literally means " Dandelion ".

Great food, great prices, and my favorite casual sushi place in town. I support this place actively and go about once a week. The sushi and udon is superb and the staff are wonderful people. This is the best equation of quality/portions/price. You'll spend way less and get more authentic japanese food from this place than most mainstream sushi joints. Someone said the food was 'bland', but I've never gotten a bad plate from this place and have tried most of the menu.

My wife missed this from Japan so ihad to find a good one. The Japanese chicken curry rice here made her day,week, life!.and now I see why she missed it so much.

Good looking restaurant with great food. Just don't expect them to say irasshaimase when you enter.
