Yum. Everything was delicious! Food was fresh and the peach cobbler was the perfect ending to a delicious meal.

We had the catfish dinner today and it was so good. Cornbread and mashed potatoes were good. The chocolate cake was homemade and so moist. Will definitely be going back

This place is a breath of fresh air. The best food in the basin, professional staff and clean. Keep up the good work. Your efforts are paying off. Everyone should take some time and try this new gem in Odessa.

The food was fantastic!!! I tried the chicken spaghetti, roasted potatoes, cabbage and blackberry cobbler. It was delicious!!!

The food was delicious. I rarely eat catfish because I am very picky about the taste but the catfish was amazing. I can't say one bad thing, everything I ate was soooo good.

The food is so good and it is so fast. Never a wait and the portions are huge!! My husband and I go all the time.

The few people who have made complaints about this cafe wouldnt know what good southern food was if it came up and bit them in the butt!. Granted there are a few improvements that need to be made they serve good food!. They dont have enough staff to accomodate the customer increase. They need to move the condiments down to the other end of the counter so people dont get tarter sauce on their clothes when reaching for a lid. The drink cups need to be bigger. The larger the drink the shorter the line for more ice. I have tried just about everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. I have eaten at better restaurants (and eaten the same items) but their's didnt taste as good. For all the stuck up snobs who want to complain about this cafe can go somewhere else. Its just more food for the rest of us who appreciate good down home cooking. I cant stand dining with such judgemental snobs anyway. They ruin the atmosphere.

So yummy!!! The meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and greens are soooo good. I do not even like catfish usually... I like theirs!!!!!

Just took my daughter to Keith's and while she had a burger, I got to have beef tips and rice. Love Texas Soul being there as well.

It's the only place that sells soul food. The very best at it, has been gone for years "Arthur Rays" I'll never forget neckbones, smothered steak, catfish, meatloaf, fried chicken, yams, fried tators, mashed tators, cabbage, greens, Mmmm just saying.

I finally made it the food is off the chain (really good) I had neck bones cabbage yams cornbread and yes kool aid! Thank you for a great Lunch to bad y'all not open at dinner time!!!

I could do this everaday! The food is always good and your in and out before the lunch break is up and more than likely (not for me) to have left overs. And the staff is awesome!

Food was delicious and very nice people! This is the only place in Odessa that I have ever enjoyed catfish, I am not a big fishy person.

Food is phenomenal! Whenever I get a day off this is my go to place!! Obsessed with the meatloaf everything ALWAYS tastes fresh! Staff is super friendly always have smiles on their faces! My mouth is watering as I write this!! See you guys tommorow �

First time visiting this place. The food was fresh and flavorful!! The two gentlemen working up front were nice and polite... highly recommended!!

First time in my life that I didn't have to smother the collards with pepper sauce or add salt. Their greens are spot on! And I'm a bit of a Shrimp & Grits snob. It's hard to find a place that actually knows how to make them right and Texas Soul Cafe nailed it! Cherry Cobbler is to die for!

Chicken spaghetti and candied yams are so yummy !!! Will definitely return to sit inside to eat ! I just ran thru the to go line ! Really nice and friendly people !!

Mmm could have been a 4 if they changed a couple things. The food was good except the cheese in the Mac and cheese was way too thick. The portion size was proportional to the price. If u use your card they give u an option to tip. U pay before u eat. I tipped but I don't think I should have. They aren't full service. You get your own drink and refills and condiments. If u need anything u get it urself so I don't understand why ur asked to tip.

First time being in this restaurant.

Have to say it was ok, not that great nor that bad.

What I didn't liked is they asked for tips for servers.

I tipped them just for the hell of it, but next time I won't, I'm sorry.

I don't see why they need to be tip for if they don't come to refill your drinks or give you service.

Next, the plate itself was overpriced, cost too much for a small amount of food in your plate.

Maybe a bit of advice, let the customers pick their own handful of food they want rather than the servers pick a small handful for you.



Overall I'm going to give this place 3 out of 5

Food was okay. Tip for this place isn't necessary if you aren't going to do the extra work and let customers pick their own handful amount.

Disappointed in the fact that the menus not going to change every day like it had before…Just called hamburger station on 191 they said the menu would stay the same… this is very disappointing!

Somehow moving locations ruined this place for me. Food was nothing like before and has greatly increased in price. Very sad�

I went through drive thru and sat there for 15 minutes waiting on my order. I got the chicken spaghetti and my husband got beef tips. Youd think chicken spaghetti would have some chicken in it. Nope, cream of chicken and noodles is what it tasted like. The beef tips were leaking all over the plate on sides. Was given no utensils or napkins. Highly disappointed. The food was better at old location. Needs to work on service overall and speed

I used to go to the Grandview location, it was GREAT! That same location had the best cooks. SO.....what happened to the food at the 191 location?? The price was $3-4 higher & quality of food......is nothing like Grandview location.

I loved Tx Soul Food. I ate there often and recommended it to friends. Since it moved to Keith's, it's sad. It is much further away, it has slower service and higher prices. Plus they think the smaller plates will disguise their 1/2 size portions, also, their once great food is plain. Eat off Keith's menu or go to Furrs.

Had shrimp & grits yesterday. Shrimp was good, grits were not. Very coarse, scooped and put on plate like mashed potatoes. Greens are still great:)

Went after visiting the Grandview location 1-2 times a week. Now, I paid $6 more for the exact same meal, it was a smaller portion and didn't taste anything like before. Last time I will go.

This experience was not pleasant. First the cashier kept repeating steak fingers when we gept telling her CHICKEN STRIPS.... and she placed the order as STEAK FINGERS> I have a problem with your menu. Shrimp diner is listed on the SOl menu on the right side of the menu marquee. Also listed in the same place is a list of the sides available thru Soul Food. I ordered shrimp dinner and didn't want fries or spoonful of salad. I wanted corn and mashed potatoes- had to pay up charge even though those items are on the Soul menu only Because of diet restrictions my husband can't have potatoes- he req green beans- another upcharge... And of course he received steak fingers instead of Chciken strips.... Guess we will visit the old Keith's from now on...

The restaurant was dirty. There were people standing in line for ice for probably 5 minutes before anyone came out from the back to refill the ice machine. The food was subpar. My husband got the catfish, (catfish is his favorite food) okra, potatoes and cornbread and all the he liked was the potatoes and cornbread. I got the spaghetti slop that looked more like a thick soup than spaghetti, cabbage, okra and cornbread and all I liked was the cabbage, okra and cornbread. Barely. We were VERY disappointed in the catfish and the chicken spaghetti because it was bland!! We sure hoped for and expected more but unfortunately we were let down. Anyway, we won't be back. We can't make a meal out of just sides and we're not interested in trying anything else. Thanks but no thanks.

So this was my first time trying this place at its new location.I first walk in and notice that NONE of the people of color worked here anymore.This should have been a sign to me to run for cover but instead i gave them the benefit of the doubt.I noticed there was also a price increase which I wouldn’t have minded considering the fact that when i ate at the grandview location the food was always awesome as usual.The food NOW is horribly disgusting....obviously cooked by someone that has no knowledge of what soul food is supposed to be.I will never eat here again,food was terrible.You can not have a SOUL FOOD CAFE if you get rid of the SOUL!!!!��If I want soul food from now on I’ll just cook it myself or drive to Midland.

Sat in the drive thru at the speaker box listening to their radio blare through the speaker for over 20 minutes, then to be told they closed at 9. I arrived at roughly 840 for a customer's order and was finally told at 910 that the employees had already "thrown all the food out except for a couple orders of steak fingers", which my customers did not order. I hope my company terminates business with Soul food/Keith's for wasting time in this fashion
