Water Witch Coffee Description

Founded in 2006 by "Java Jerry" Gerson, WWC& T brought the Highlands community together, from local heros and aficionados of all sorts, to old-time surfers and wreck divers still making waves along the coast, school teachers and clammers and a variety of amazing (and interesting) people.

As of 2014 Valerie Browning became owner of Water Witch Coffee. The original dedicated crew can be found at the shop alongside a new round of musicians, artists and writers.

Chef Kenny Harber continues to supply the shop with superb baked goods, brunch items, crepes and soups.

Thursday night extended hours offer a delectable dessert menu with a bit of spice and freshly whipped cream. Not to mention the phenomenally talented musicians and artists that hold weekly events.

/ˈflīiNG/ /staɡ/ verb 1. When musicians from popular local bands create an artistic experience based from their solo projects.
March 23rd Artist lineup:... Väl Challah
Norwegian death metal guitarist turned synth-pop proponent, Väl Challah, will be performing solo for the first time in the U.S. at Water Witch Coffee in Highlands, NJ on March 23rd.
A viking of few words, Väl will be playing traditional music from his beloved island home, Moskenesøya, as well as songs he’d learned while spending six months in deep space. He might have to explain that part a little.
Though best known for his work with the genre defying group, Daughter Vision, Väl is also pursuing his love of fashion through his own apparel business, Stygg Ulv (Ugly or Slightly Messy Wolf.)
“I like my clothing to look as though it were hacked and torn by a dull hunting knife because it was. I only have the one knife and it’s pretty lousy.”Please join us at Water Witch for an intimate evening of intrepid sagas, hot coffee, and sleeveless t-shirts.

I was in the area when I saw the Water Witch Cafe on Google maps. I liked the name, reviews and photos so I went over. The atmosphere is cozy and there were some people playing guitars in the backroom. I had a nice time, enjoyed my food and smoothie and ended up getting coffee beans to take home Melody was the barista and she is very nice and told me more about the cafe and their events.

I love it that everybody knows you there. They even have a place where you can hang your own coffee mug to use when you come in. Great place to grab a coffee and fresh pastry or even one of their awesome breakfast bowls and catch up on some chit-chat or just sit outside or in the window and watch the world go by.

I love Water Witch. Val and all the staff are friendly and helpful. I don't drink coffee it they have great smoothies and a real bohemian atmosphere. I loved the poetry and jazz on Sunday afternoons. I felt like I was in San Francisco. Can't wait to go back.
