We had a wonderful meal of chicken fried steak at World Famous MOMS. We had gone to see the tulips at Texas Tulips in Pilot Point and we wanted to eat in a local restaurant, not a run of the mill, cookie cutter type restaurant. Someone at the tulip place recommended Mom's and we weren't disappointed. Good food, fast service and reasonably priced - can't get better than that. They also Back the Blue, and support the troops. We were too full after the chicken fried steak to try the desserts. Next time.

Our first experience with Krys and the mom's staff was as the caterer for our daughters wedding at The Springs wedding venue. They did an excellent job and everyone enjoyed the food. We've been a regular ever since and are rarely disappointed. On occasion we order something that doesn't meet our expectations, but that is not the norm. The chicken fried chicken is very good and I absolutely love the green beans.

My daughter and I have visited six times now. Each time it gets better! Love the fried zucchini! The grilled pimento sandwich w/bacon is my current fave! The coleslaw is yummy! Fries are handcut and also wonderful! And don't forget the bourbon pie! OMG! The staff are awesome! My daughter(autistic) has made a special friend that works the cash register. Her name is Kinely. Great place and awesome people!

My club rode in to moms on a Sunday morning for breakfast and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food!!! A nice gentleman came by and asked us about our club and where we are from and wished us a safe ride and hoped that he sees us back again in the near future. Super great place and people.

I bring Durward Miller here Monday - Friday for lunch. He eats his usual every day! Fried catfish, fries, home cooked roll & Dr Pepper. The homemade soups & desserts are amazing. And you can't get a better cheeseburger anywhere else like Mom's.

Great food and friendly staff. Fried green tomatoes are a must, best ones I’ve ever had!

Great food and atmosphere. best and biggest BLT I have ever had.

Anonymous

Excellent food. I had the BLT and salad and my wife had the chicken fried steak. The BLT was loaded with crisp bacon and the chicken fried steak was tender and lots of flavor. We will be back on our return trip to Texas.

I think I have once again been reminded of a profound truth after reading all these reviews....You can't please all of the people all of the time. For good home country cookin', like the cookin' that country folk like me were raised on, you can't hardly beat MOM'S. Pick a dirty fork? Pick a clean one. Something not right with the food? Tell 'em. They will happily fix it. Dirty place? Does "shabby chic" or "rustic" sound more palatable? MOM'S strives for excellence and hits the mark 90% of the time for our family and we are regulars. That's more than good enough for us.

The experience overall was fascinating. Your history through antiques and the reprnt of the hearld the day after Lincoln was killed are incredible. My only two qualms are the cheeseburgers needed some seasoning and the sweet tea was off. But an overall incredible experience. Thank you. Pie was awesome.

Saw on TV and wanted to try it. Chicken fried steak was small and tasted burnt. We were a family of 8 and none of us cared for the food. Very bland tasting even though the portion size was big. I do not see how they made it on the list to visit. Should be listed as $$, for it was pricey.

I went to Texas tulips today and we were starving so we stopped by to eat. My mom ordered some grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and green beans. She absolutely loved it, she said it was delicious. However my cousin and I ordered some buffalo tenders which the cashier said were chicken tenders dipped in buffalo sauce. So when we got our food the lady that takes the food to the tables and sweeps (she’s in her 40s or 50s) I told her the tenders weren’t dipped in buffalo sauce and she just looked at me lost and said yes they are but obviously they weren’t. She looked annoyed so I just went up to the cashier which was very sweet and nice and told her I didn’t get any buffalo sauce on my tenders and she said sorry I said it’s fine could you just give me the buffalo sauce to dip my tenders in and she kindly brought them to me. But that lady just seemed rude. The manager or owner was very friendly too he kept asking if we were doing okay and if we were already being taken care of.

Okay, so Jane had a salad with Avocados and they were so hard, you couldn’t push a fork into it.

We tried some fried green tomatoes and they were pieces and just not good at all.

My recommendation is that if you pass through Aubrey and your hungry, keep driving. What’s burger is down the road and better.

I've lived in the Aubrey area for 7 years and always see ads about World Famous MOMS, but I had never been there until today. When we ordered, we asked what the cashier recommended for appetizers and she said she liked the fried green tomatoes. We ordered her recommendation and received fried zucchini instead; no-one would eat it. Then I ordered 2 children's cheeseburgers, but the cashier said they don't serve children's cheeseburgers so I ordered 2 regular cheeseburgers for the small kids; we only received one. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and fries for myself. The mashed potatoes had no flavor and the fries were soggy. On top of that, the silverware is rusty and I had to go back to return a fork that had dried wrapped lettuce attached to it. I give 2 stars for the chicken tenders and California burger my other two kids received.

the food is fantastic. the service not so much. my husband and I always order the same thing: fried zuccini my husband has the all you can eat catfish and I have the two piece fish basket. Since I Have had lapband surgery I can only eat 1 piece of fish. I always fix a to go box with my other piece of fish and the fries and a 2nd to go box for the zuccini. My husband can easily put away 12 pieces of fish. Every time we go the man who runs the place comes over and tells us the fish is to eat there as tho we were stealing fish from him. I can't help that my husband gets his moneys worth when he eats fish. But I assure you I only take my 1piece of fish I paid for. Not sure if or when we will go back.

This place is what Gordan Ramsay would call a nightmare. 1) Smells bad when you walk in. 2) Cashier taking our order had his mouth full of food. 3) Iced tea was nasty-- tasted about 2 weeks old 4) Food was disgusting. Reheated frozen stuff, wilted french fries, mushy chicken sandwich, SWEET chili?? , old, hard bread roll, strange taste to the grilled chicken on the salad, etc.... etc... Spent $60+ and we ended up leaving our food on the table and going down the road to ChickFilA.

The food was okay but one of the ladies that works there ( I was told it was the daughter) was very rude. Acted like she was doing us a favor by waiting on our table. I will never go in there again
