After much debate and discussion with my wife ,Several who wanted to manage Grumpys , we have decided not to reopen .The people that wanted to manage wanted to completely change Grumpys products and the way we would want it .. Grumpys did not close because of the products we sold .. Grumpys closed because we could not see our products were made correct and service was at a level we demanded . We want to thanks everyone . Thanks for all the suggestions , and helpful comments. I won't say never , but at this time me and my wife are going to buy a boat or a Harley and enjoy life when I am home . So thank y'all so very much .

I truly appreciate all y'all suggestions. As y'all know I nor my wife makes our liven from Grumpys . We wanted to give back to our town . We were not in competition with anyone as some thought . We did our own thing. We didn't spread rumors or bash any business . We were not into the business of deciet or try to copy anyone . We have offered Grumpys to several different individuals who do make their liven this way and we offered it at a reasonable rate .being in business is... not cheap . As Grumpys is in a LLC they can walk in under Grumpys name and just add stock . I believe our license under Grumpys goes till October . So we will see what transpires over the next month and go from there .we have had mostly encouraging post and yet we have had some who say stay closed .we will either have new owners or we will do something with our building.i bought the building last year and did tons of improvement.. having said all that we thank y'all and we will see what the future holds for Grumpys and anyone that knows me knows I will do things right or not at all .so thanks again and we will continue to pray and discuss ways forward that will be a compliment to our town .not just another business that gets jab at or complaints about .thanks y'all...................

If we come back . I think we will also go with our original plan . BBQ , Burgers and that wonderful Hershey ice cream. What do yall think .. we put BBQ on the back burner last year ..but that was always our plan. So I thinking we might bring some Texas favorites to our little town . My Smurfy did a excellent job selling the contents out of Grumpys building . Just want to brag on her after her 2 day fire sell. There was so much stuff in there .lol only a few items were left and they are mostly pizza stuff . She sold off all food and ice cream which to me was a amazing feat. Now on to our next adventure and again we thank everyone who came and bought some of the stuff. Building is fully ready for sale or lease . Go by and see Ms Amy and she will take dandy care of you .thank again ..

Today will wrap up Grumpys .. Joanie has a some ice cream left , and few odd and end items . Other than that Grumpys is all most cleaned out and cleaned up ..building is ready for lease or sale . See Ms Amy at citronell realtor and she will take good care of yall . Again thank y'all for 3 years ..

I’ll be back at the shop at 10 this morning and will be there until around 3.
We sold a ton of ice cream and food yesterday. Here is what’s left: a full tub of rocky road, crazy vanilla, black walnut, and butter pecan. 3/4 tub of choc chip cookie dough , orange sherbet, 1/2 tub better brownie, birthday cake, no sugar vanilla.

Yesterday and sat broke records at Grumpys .. I can not tell y'all how much I appreciate y'all . Me and my wife send our heart felt thanks for the 3 years y'all allowed us to be apart of town . We also understand so very many wants us to stay open . Grumpys growth rate needs a full time owner that can handle things such as one man waited on us order so long yesterday that he got out and came in . Simple stuff yet very important stuff like that we simple can not look after . We love Grumpys and my wife is already after me to stay open ..lol I just don't see that path for us .. we are hopeful someone else will continue Grumpys .but it will be up to who ever takes a lease or buys it from us .. I am sorry I was unable to be there to see all y'all this weekend ,but my wife did get a chance to talk to some ..thanks again y'all ..

Grumpys ice cream will be closing for good Sunday Dec 22. The rest of this week end will be sales to try and get rid of as much food and ice cream as possible ..this was a decision me and my wife have came to conclusion on .. now for some idea of what Grumpys is closing is simple because me and my wife did not make our liven from Grumpys not was it our lively hood. Y'all would not believe how petty people can be ..me and my wife work long hours and It's has gotten old to get off work and all we hear are complaints. Grumpys was never intended to be a super volume place and it dang sure was never supposed to make people mad and blast us for trying to give our little town more choices. So at the end of this week we will permanently closed Grumpys .. thanks y'all ..

We decided to shorten the week up ..Monday Tuesday and Wednesday Grumpys will be closed till winter is over .. we will be open Thursday thru Sunday. We decided that was better than just closing for a month all together .. last year about mid January things started picking up ..thanks y'all

Their ice cream (Hershey’s) is the richest, tastiest, most flavorful ice cream I’ve ever come across! Their banana pudding ice cream WAS the best, but I believe Hershey’s discontinued it.

Visit Grumpy’s, you won’t regret it.

I regularly ride 25.5 miles up to Citronelle for a banana split then ride 70 or so miles to get back home . . . It is that good . . .

I just had a Grumpy cheeseburger, lettuce wrapped instead of a bun, for a low carb lunch. It was so so good! The burger was delicious, and I didn’t miss a bun for a second. Great job!
