Yum, olive bread is wonderful. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Wish bakery was closer to my home. Love this place.

When my daughter lived nearby and we were visiting it was one of our favorite places to go. Rustic, quiet, charming. I've ordered their almond croissants and had them shipped to Barker New York where I live several times. Well worth it.

This place is a gem. It would be popular even if it were across the street from Tartine in San Francisco. The sourdough (especially the wild yeast) is the best bread in town, and it stays moist for days and doesn't dry out like french bread. The sweets are fantastic too (I am partial to the blueberry pie). I find excuses to detour to English Village so I can stop in for a treat.

The wild sourdough bread is the best bread I've ever eaten. Ever....

The only place in Birmingham (that's actually not necessarily in Birmingham) where you can get a good loaf of bread.

Quaint feel with amazing pastries, the perfect cup of coffee, and a relaxed feel. There are a few tables inside, but if the weather is good, outside seating is a better choice. This place sort of takes on a Parisian feel for me.

My husband says these are the best bagels in town. Toasted with their cream cheese spread.

It's been almost 30 years since I last visited the Continental bakery. I'll never forget these square ginger cookies with silvered almonds, they were to die for. Hope to visit one day.

Fabulous cafe au lait in a proper bowl for breakfast with a choice of croissants, scones, bagels and so much more. Just about every freshly baked artisanal brad you can think of, some even available in 1/4 and 1/2 loaves. Great neighborhood find - highly recommend if you're in the area.

Continental Bakery is a treasure for our community. We love the treasures there! I recommend that you stop in soon for maybe, a croissant, a bagel, a thumbprint cookie or some awesome Tarragon Chicken Salad. And don't forget to make plans to hit Chez Lulu, their restaurant next door, up for lunch or dinner soon!
