Hello, Friends! We are so excited to offer evening yoga and meditation classes here at the coffee house for a winter session: January 6-March 28. See the flyer for details. We hope you can join us!
We happened to open the holiday Prana catalog in the post office yesterday and were happily surprised to see a couple of familiar images in there. You may recognize the '71 VW squareback from our back yard! Cool to see Orca Island Cabins are featured in this catalog, too.
Hello, Resurrect Art Friends! We really value voting around here, so we're happy to offer customers with an "I Voted" sticker FREE house coffee OR $2 off of their favorite drink when they come to the coffee house after the voting booth. PLEASE VOTE and come drink coffee and share in community afterward.
Hello, Rez Art Friends! We just wanted to remind you about our 3rd Anniversary Party and concert with The Sirenes, Saturday, October 13 at 7pm. We are so grateful to have been stewards of this magical space for three whole years! You're sure to enjoy the show, and we'll have some snacks and drinks to show our community some love for your support over these years. We are asking $10 at the door for the show. PS - There may even be a sighting of the new coffee house puppy Saturday night, but you'll have to stop by to find out!
Join us for an awesome concert with The Sirenes - a folk duo out of Maine. You're sure to love their hauntingly beautiful harmonizing, old-timey sound, and appalachian roots. AND it's the three-year anniversary of Resurrect Art under our ownership, so we're excited to make it a bit of a party!
Check out The Sirenes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stxastb2S WY
We're excited to host another awesome concert at Resurrect Art this Friday, August 10 at 7pm. Come out and join us for an evening with J Wagner - J has been here multiple times over the years, and he always puts on a great show. Here's a link to a video so you can get a taste of J's sound: https://youtu.be/pY_ZgiLONAQ
And for even more bang for your buck, Michael Howard is going to open for J. Michael has also been at Rez Art multiple times over the years, including a show earlier in the summer and he is always a local favorite.
We're asking $15 at the door for this show, and we hope you can join us!
Just wanted to make sure you know about events here at Resurrect Art coming up Thursday and Friday nights. First, join us for Intuitive Compass Thursday night at 7pm - come enjoy some country blues, old-timey vintage swing. $10 at the door.
Then, join us for a evening of poetry, prose and performance on Friday at 7pm. We're excited about a lineup of readings from writers here in Seward and from Anchorage. We hope you can join us for one or both of these events!
Intuitive Compass is the diverse talents of songwriter and guitar pioneer, Jason Dea West, taken together with old time circus freak and accordionist Aurelia Anne Cohen. Purveyors of “Original Western Folk Music” they offer a timeless sound, invoking a musical America of the past without sounding dated. Their provocative lines and dynamic arrangements include elements of country blues, old-time, vintage swing, jazz, frontier balladry, instrumentals and the perpetuation of traditional folk songs.
Hey Rez Art chess lovers - check out our new chess nook in the belfry room! I've been waiting for years to get these gorgeous, hand-carved pieces in action. Hope you can stop by soon and play a game!

We hope you can join us for a great show this Thursday at 7pm. The Resonant Rogues are based out of Asheville, North Carolina, with influences that include Appalachian old-time, Balkan folk music, Swing Manouche, and early New Orleans Jazz. They take their favorite flavors and blend them into a delicious, danceable dish.

Join us for a great night of music with singer-songwriter Michael Howard. Michael's been here many times, and we always enjoy his great songwriting and easy-going charm.
Here's a bit more about Michael's latest album: "After many dark Alaskan winters touring the rest of the State and long Arctic summers as a community organizer and activist, Michael Howard’s unique perspective has come to fruition in his latest album, GASOLINE DREAM, a collection of poetic Americana born from life on the road."
We're asking a $10-$15 donation at the door for the show. Hope you can make it!

beautiful space, great coffee, awesome gifts, great place to play!
This spot has and will always be the best for coffee, hangin and checking out local artwork!
This place is an amazing epicenter of community and arts in Seward. Great spot for coffee and friends!
This place is a hidden Gem. Great coffee in a generous sized mug. Beautiful artwork and homey feel.
This is one of my favorite places from childhood. Spent hours upstairs as a middle schooler playing board and card games with friends. It is a must visit stop every time I am in Seward. Even my son asks if we are stopping there when I talk about visiting Seward. Such a wonderful atmosphere and good coffee too. Can't wait for our next visit!
The best coffee shop in all of Seward. Great ambiance, lovely owners, tasty tea and coffee , friendly locals, and the sunniest spot in town. The local art work is amazing and affordable , as well. I would want nothing more than to take a piece of this wonderful place everywhere I go. And I do :)
The art is good, and for sale. Coffee lovers think it's awesome. I am impressed by how generous the owner is in letting the community members perform on the stage. It's a nice gathering place.
One of my favorite coffee houses. I come here every time I’m in Seward. Great coffee, service, and atmosphere.
My favorite coffee house in Seward. My go to place to chill and drink coffee!!
Like the drinks provided, they relax you, make you feel warm, and ready for whatever is ahead. If I'm visiting for the weekend with friends, by far their eyes light up most thinking of going "to church"
If I could rate this a 10 instead of 5, I would. I absolutely love this place! I'm always here when I visit Seward...it's my second home! I'd live in there if I could. I love the people and the coffee and I always buy something when I'm there (other than the coffee of course). It has everything. And the fact that I can bring my little dog Molly in there, is such a blessing to us both. We love going there so much, we're regulars. Happy New Year! Hope to see you again soon! :)
I absolutely love this place! Nice and cosy coffee shop where you can sit down and enjoy a great cup of coffee!
Hip comfy place to view art the view and have a good cup of coffee
Great place, fantastic coffee, yummy cookies and amazing people!
Today (8/15)I left my purse at the Resurrect Art Coffee House Gallery in Seward, AK. I didn't notice it was missing until I hit Anchorage to catch my flight in the morning. Thanks to the kindness of Izzy who works at the shop - she got my purse on a charter bus with a driver named Sheryl - I had it within 4 hours!!
Everyone go there and buy everything!!!
Much and thank you!!!
Izzy even put a cookie in my purse! Thanks for the DELICIOUS cookie!! You guys rock!
By far the strongest, most consistent, and delicious Almond Milk Lattes during our 10 days in Alaska. This place spoke directly to our hearts blending our love of local coffee shop and local art. I was told by a local that Res Art is the locals choice for coffee year round. I can totally see why. The views from every old church window are sensational. Grab a seat upstairs to watch the sun rise or set. Perfection! Well done, well done.
Best coffee with a view! Try the Almond Joy and sip in the loft or on a comfy couch. Sweet place!
Adorable place! Cozy! Delish white chocolate mocha! Definately check this place out while in Seward❤️
Absolutely love this coffee shop! I am the director of the Alaskaman Extreme Triathlon and we did some course recon last year (2016) during which we spent a couple days in Seward. This coffee shop was a must multiple times per day. The coffee, baked goods, the atmosphere, the friendly service with a smile. Not only will we be back numerous times this year we will recommend that our 300 athletes and their 300 support crew members frequent this place. GO CHECK IT OUT!
I was excited to check this place out while planning things prior to my trip to Alaska months in advance. We were there during the Fourth of July festivities. Seward food/drink establishments were steadily overcrowded with horrible service and depleted supplies. Everyone said: "That's Seward".
But I disagree. Years of knowing what the weekend is like should have businesses better prepared. No exception here. My fiancée and I waited over 30 minutes to get our vanilla lattes. The place was not business enough. We walked up and placed our order as you usually would. The problem was that there were 4 people behind the counter and one young guy making ALL the drinks. A little teamwork right? We missed the rush at this shop as evidenced by them being out of ice. Somehow...they ran out of ice...in Alaska...on their money making weekend. When the rest of our party met us there another little rush had built and there were about 8 people in line to order. The five of our friends didn't order.
I'm sure if it isn't a holiday weekend things are different. But that was my first time in Alaska, and maybe my last. I would've liked my time to be more valuable to the business making money off me.
