The coffee is GREAT, but equally important; the setting, the staff, the pastries, the attention to detail, cleanliness of the place, and the marvelous ambience sitting on the deck facing a mini-lakefront vista with squadrons of geese making frequent fly-overs makes this a total experience that exceeds anything Starbucks can oven dream about! Oh, and did I mention the pastries?

Stopped in to get a specialty coffee for my son for Christmas. These people were wonderful and had just what I was looking for. I was feeling really lousy with a sore throat and laryngitis and they were so kind and I even was given a cup of tea that the gal said came free with the coffee I bought. Not sure if she was just super sweet or it was a true promotion but it made me feel wonderful!!

Love this place! Perfect for morning coffee, delicious breakfast and getting work done while enjoying the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend the Larry's wrap for breakfast and no matter what coffee you order it's always roasted on site and fabulous. On Wed, Fri & Sat this lovely coffee house turns into a live music wine bar. So nice to have a locally owned place in the middle of beautiful McCormick Ranch that has some soul to it. I'll choose Altitudes any day over some corporate chain. <3

I love this place! The views of the pond and fountain augment some of the most highly selected and carefully prepared drinks and European pastries. If you catch the chef before 1300, you'll get a delightful combination of specially prepared breakfast burritos, fresh fruit and other wholesome choices.



The other reviewer who talked about employees'attitude was probably using projection. I spent many hours studying there and all the hard working employees were very friendly, genuine and professional, unlike the cackling, loud unprofessional staff down the road south on Hayden at anti Second Amendment Starbucks.



The music they play here is eclectic and very pleasing for the most part, unlike Starbucks that plays strange, aggressive and often ultra left wing music selections. It's so bad there that you almost have to put your own music on. Not so at Altitude. And it's clean here, unlike overpriced Starbucka , helped by the fact the dog friendly patio limits the (not always clean) 4 legged creatures to bring appropriately outside (only).



Highly recommend! The best coffee place in Scottsdale.

Hung out here this past Friday. Cappuccino was so good and the Biscotti and Cheese Danish was delicious. The view is so relaxing and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I am definitely hooked and will be back.

Have always loved Altitude but their menu is not quite as good as in previous years. .... and the servers are friendly but not "over the top''.

Great place to stop while out riding bikes. Delicious sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Comfy couches outside and great coffee!

Great coffee, great atmosphere, outstanding customer service. This is where I get my freshly roasted beans that I grind fresh daily for my morning brew. I have ordered beans from all over the country and these are tops. It was a much needed addition to the area. I like that they light roast some of their coffees. The patio is awesome!

Best lattes on the planet. Iced are my favorites. What I love about ACL is that the coffee is smooth. No burn. No after taste. Fresh, no burnt smell or flavor on the coffee like other brands you're familiar with. Best part? Right in my neighborhood

Best latte around and if you have time to stay the lovely patio looks out over the water. Such a great place to relax and enjoy coffee.

Best coffee and patio... nice people too.

I appreciate the Chemx coffee and the V-60 coffee.

Also ....the bagel w/ cream cheese and roasted tomatoes is most delicious..

AND the patio is very dog friendly!

Been to some other coffee houses in the area and always find my way back to Altitude. Isaac is great nice view of the green belt and menu is solid.

Altitude is a wonderful coffee shop and cafe...the staff is not only super talented (salads are amazing and coffee is superb) but they genuinely care for their customers:) so so happy they are here....Merry Christmas!!

Altitude Coffee Lab has become my favorite breakfast stop in town. Super friendly staff, great coffee, and delicious breakfast. The Toasted Noble Bread with Salmon is soooo good ! Too bad I don’t live in AZ anymore ..

Tasty latte, real creamy, smooth and very hot, always a plus. With me in attendance it added some much needed color to an otherwise all white environment.

I love the atmosphere and patio, the coffee is decent too but it's all about the ambiance. A great place to get some work done or catch up with a friend!

Food was very good. But, the coffee was weak. Ordered and extra shot and still was weak.

What a bunch of absolute business idiots! We arrived at 1pm for lunch. We're seated and ready to order. The owner comes out and says they are closing for an hour to take a break. And we should come back then! NOT!!

We will NEVER come back and spread the word and share this story!
