Chili Cook-Off Saturday July 14th 11:00-2 pm Sign up at Parks General Store. Best Red & Best Green chili split the prize money and get a trophy. All welcome, entry fee is $20. $4 to taste all the chili and you vote for best green and best red chili. Cook at home and bring in a crockpot. Please come and join us!

Susan and I would like to thank the Parks community for a great parade. Thank you Ken Gerard‚Äã‚Äã for getting the road signage done. Thanks to all the staff at the Parks in the Pines General Store. Thanks Jessica for Montering the bounce house. Bob Dickey‚Äã‚Äã great job announcing the parade entries and for the music. Thanks to all the parade sponsors displayed at both stores and last but not least thank you to our Grand Marshals Pam Smith and Claudia Gallengher wow started the first parade thirty years ago. 4th of July Parade is almost here and we need you to show your spirit in our community parade. Pick up a parade entry form at Parks General Store. Parade is on the 4th at 1pm starting at Route 66 and Parks road and ends at the Main School parking lot. We will have a bounce house at the Parks General Store 11-3 and a water melon eating contest at 12 for the kiddos. Saturday 7th will be our free ice cream social 11-2pm and Saturday July 14th the chili cook off. Sare the info and Have a great and safe summer.

This little gem among the trees is a Route 66 Roadies' oasis.

Old time candy, jellies & jams. The general store, with a potbelly stove, will warm your toes & your heart.

The folks in the kitchen are "flippin" fantastic (the pastrami is my fave) & the owner, Cary, makes you feel like family.
