My name is Xavier Woods and I am a barista at the Saddlecreek Coffee Co. I am originally from the state of Washington where I was raised by grandparents whom I love with every inch of my being! My family are one of my biggest pillars holding me up every hour of the day and every day of the week! I chose to venture to Arizona State, not only for a sense of independence and growth but for an advancement in the field I find myself gravitating towards more and more.
I am an aspir...ing actor with modeling being something I hope to take part in some day as well. Since I was younger I loved watching people like me on television and seeing them portray characters and lives completely unrelated to their own. I started acting when I was high school, I realized that this was what I wanted to do when I was around 7 but found the courage to step into the role of acting halfway through high school. Since then, I have been in 8 productions and 1 short film, and still the love the challenge and stories that come along with that career choice every day. Outside of acting, I am in my junior year of college studying to get my Bachelor’s in Social Sciences with a small concentration in Psychology. I also am a very fond appreciator of reading, painting, drawing and music; so, basically anything art related!
That being said, I am also a huge fan of coffee because it helps me get through rehearsals, auditions, and college altogether! I found a home in this company with all these great people and I’m so excited to see where the future goes with all you Saddlecreek Coffee Drinkers and this company! Make sure to come in and stop by and ask me about my favorite drink!

Hi I‚Äôm Cade ūüĎč. One of my very many passions is Music. Not as much playing instruments, but listening. I have a deep love and connection to music that formed during elementary school. Music has always been my refuge in times of uncertainty and pain. You can almost allows find me with AirPods in or blasting a speaker at home. (I‚Äôve been yelled at many times to turn it down). Music is something I love because it conveys a life lesson, moral, experience, love, passion, and a stor...y. A lot of my my favorite songs consist of hope. Hope is something I‚Äôve always just wanted my life to show. I believe in a God that gives a hope for tomorrow. I know that things might be bad right now, but I also know that things will one day get better. In 2019, Spotify recorded that I listened to a total of 83,342 minutes of music. My favorite artist is Owl City/Adam Young (most know for Fireflies). My favorite genres consist of Pop, Worship, Edm, Jazz, Tropical House etc. Really everything except country...sorry country lovers, it‚Äôs just not my thing. If you ever want to talk God, Music, Books, Life, or Coffee- I‚Äôm your guy.

My name is Annie and my favorite hobby is playing cards with my friends. If you can believe it, we play every single night. I have always been very competitive when it comes to playing cards, but surprisingly, I am not competitive in other ways. My favorite game to play is Spades, but if you know the game then you also know that having a smart partner is necessary and I am still on the hunt for someone that can keep up with me. I played a lot of Rook as a kid and that qui...ckly developed in to a passion that I continue to this day with my group of friends and my fiancé.
Because I grew up on a small sustainable organic farm as a child in California, we didn’t have access to the technology we use today and often us kids had to entertain ourselves. Cards became a family pastime that began with my Grand father and mother. This is a tradition I hold near and dear to my heart and it has helped me to find kindred spirits, like my now fiancé Mike and one we hope to pass on to our loved ones in the future.
This tradition has brought me such comfort over the last year as I transitioned into becoming a full time Arizona resident. I never knew how deeply rooted I was to my home until I left it. Starting over is never an easy process and I find myself clinging to the past time that always brings that spark of joy in to my life. I have had to make new friends and establish myself in a place that is foreign to me, but playing cards with my spouse and his friends is like a little piece of home.

My name is Marcus. You're probably wondering how I got here. Let’s take it back 4 years ago when I started my new life in AZ. Motivated, dedicated, and scared, I focused on the thought of being a better version of myself during the 15-hour Greyhound bus ride from California. The first couple of months were especially rough, but over time I became more established and deliberately placed myself in more positive environments. With patience and steady growth, everything was co...ming together.

I have always been passionate about the arts, but found myself particularly drawn to dance at an early age. In an effort to create more dynamic moves, I walked into a gymnastics studio for open gym and started perfecting my style. It was an incredible risk to start practicing the tricks I had in mind, as I had never been trained before. Where once I was scraping my knees on concrete, now I was flying high on the trampolines teaching kids back flips. I may, or may not, have found myself banned from the first gym I walked into after teaching little kids tricks that they were ‚Äútoo young to handle‚ÄĚ, but thankfully, another place took a risk on me, and eventually, I began teaching my own classes.

Sometimes, I look back on my life and wonder how I got here, but then I remember that fateful bus ride. It just goes to show, no matter where you are in life, just remember you can turn it around with a single positive thought.

My name is Rachael and I joined Saddlecreek this last year. I was searching for a job that would give my life balance. You see, I'm a mom to this little angel, Ellie, and being able to cherish the few years we have before she starts elementary school, was a priority I couldn't sacrifice anymore. I wanted to show her that women are strong and brilliant and can provide for themselves and their families, but that came at the cost of precious time together that I couldn't watch... slip away any longer.
I'm a Michigan native and that's where I developed my love for being outdoors. One my daughter shares and the proof can be seen in every picture of her on our boat or making stone soup out back.
Since I grew up where the backyard was the great outdoors, your imagination was your best friend. Out of that grew a passion for reading and my guilty pleasure was murder mysteries. I now have Netflix and podcasts to thank for my continued addiction. And nothing goes better with a serial killer bender quite like a glass of wine that I got paid $.60 a bottle to take from Fry's...true story, ask me about it sometime ūüėČ
Skin care also makes my list of favorite conversation starters. I love learning and sharing new tips, tricks, favorite products and where to get it all at the best price, seriously that's my gift. Also, I am still on the hunt for a great Botox deal- so if you know anywhere, don't hold back. The truth is self care is a hard habit for anyone to learn, but thankfully the socially imposed fear of not aging gracefully has at least helped me put my face first.
So basically, if I'm not hunting for the best deals, while sipping on a glass of FREE wine and listening to a murder podcast with a face mask soaking in, you will find me lakeside, basking in the fresh air and sunlight with my beautiful and wonderful family!

Meet Austin. He is living proof that everyone has a story to tell and when you take the time to get to know someone, they will surprise you in so many wonderful ways!
My name is Austin. I love cycling. I know that’s simple, but that’s it. I had a horrible blood clot 3 years ago that almost took my life. I had an old 80's Peugeot bike that was about to fall apart, but a friend of mine suggested I get on it. I got together with a group of friends that rode bike every weekend ...and rode my first 30 mile ride. It was the worst and greatest experience of my life. I was instantly hooked. I soon got a new bike, started riding more and more and eventually competed in a half Ironman and rode from Seattle, WA to Vancouver, BC. Now I ride for fun and am training for more events and can’t wait to see where my bike takes me.

My name is Heather and I am the manager of Saddlecreek Coffee Co. Over the next few weeks, I am going to introduce you to our team! I have asked them all to share a photo of themselves that is special to them in some way. We are a community coffee shop and we believe community is about connection. We want to get to know you, so we would like to start the conversation by telling you a little bit about who we are.
So, who am I? I am a married, working mom of 2 beautiful bo...ys. I also am a baker. I started teaching myself how to make custom designer cakes when I was 20 years old. I always loved baking as it offered a sort of calm and consistency. I knew that adding eggs, flour, butter and sugar could produce something delicious! Not to say I haven’t cried over a cake disaster before…I have! Ask any one of my girlfriends who fielded those teary-eyed phone calls. It teaches me patience and forgiveness and I learn with each and every mistake I make.
Cooking has always been how I show my love to someone. After my first son was born, I thanked my husband for being such a champion of a dad by making him his favorite dinner of Chicken Fried Steak and Homemade Mashed Potatoes with Country Gravy. When my Aunt was sick, I made her homemade butternut squash soup. When my girlfriends started having children, it became a tradition for me to make their kids’ birthday cakes every year. When my Uncle turned 80, I asked to make his cake for 120 people, all from scratch, as a thank you for everything he has done for me. I’ve made eclairs for my dad, chocolate mousse for my mom, and two 3-tiered baby shower cakes for my brother and his wife and my cousin and his wife. I’ve made casseroles for friend’s who lost loved ones, or brought dinner for friends who just had a new baby. Cooking and baking is my love language!
Running Saddlecreek combines all my passions in to one. It is the job I never knew I needed. I serve this community with a truly grateful heart and with every coffee drink I make or Creeker breakfast burrito I roll, I truly am saying I care about you! Thank you for the opportunity to love you all and the many ways you bless and enrich my life!

We had a business meeting here tonight and it was our first time stopping in and the coffee and service was amazing! I had a gingerbread chia tea and it was the best ever. My fiancé had a white chocolate mocha and said it was amazing. The two gals working were very friendly, and it was cheaper than Starbucks! All about supporting small local businesses, and id highly recommend Saddlecreek!

Saddlecreek has great coffee, breakfast burritos and sandwiches. The owner and staff are always friendly and take care of everything you need. On my last visit I had the new T-Bar sandwich and was awesome. It really is SFG !!!

Oh my goodness. I'm a little afraid to rave about this place, because you will ALL come here (and take my comfy seatūüėČ). This is our first time here. The tea and coffee is good. The mini doughnuts are insanely, addictively good! We tried the blueberry cream mini doughnuts; I'm already convinced that all other kinds will be equally great. Can't wait to try the crepes, burritos, and everything else. Thank you for creating such a welcoming place with LOTS of space with plenty of varied seating. Other coffeeshops have forgotten that we all want to relax (or work), maybe spread out, and stay for awhile. Can't wait to come back tomorrow. ūüĎćūüŹĽ‚ėēÔłŹūüćĶūüć©ūüõčūüďöūüíĽūüéíūüĆ üūüĎŹūüŹľūüĎćūüŹĽūüėä

It's a great little neighbor coffee place - none of the hype of the 'chains'. It's almost like having a friend over and hanging out in my kitchen while we catch up. Stop by and check them out! I love to support our local homegrown businesses.

I just went here for the first time today to meet up with a friend. This place is awesome and has all my favorite things! Gluten free options, delicious coffee, a play area for the kids, a changing table in the bathroom, friendly employees, and scripture on the wall. I will definitely be back!

I had the most delicious drink at Saddlecreek this afternoon - the peach elderflower smoothie! AND it's a great spot for a meeting.

I am so impressed by the hospitality and graciousness of the people who own and run this amazing coffee shop. Their menu is perfect as they have something to suit all pallets, their coffee hits the right spot and today I was floored away by their generosity as they gave me a hand crafted sun (wall decor) that I absolutely adored and praised it. They didn't have to give it to me but they still did and for that I am grateful. They have definitely made a customer out of me and I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you Saddlecreek Coffee Company I truly appreciate your kind gesture and amazing coffee.
