Food and service were excellent but Management adds 4% to your bill that supports their Political views. Its something they should be paying for. Not their customers.

Not too cheap, but okey. Good service from busy waitress. Good breakfast.

The food is good. Not overpriced for Hollywood standards. There was something that bothered me. On the bill there is automatic charge of 4% for workers benefits. You can have it removed by request, but that's the employers responsibility. I tip my server. I don't feel it's my responsibility to pay for the servers health care.

Get the black eye shake. I'm lactose intolerant but its delicious and makes for a fun drive home with friends! This place can be loud.

Service was good, waitress was friendly and always available for refills, but the food took a long time to arrive. Not worth the wait.

Went alone. Ambient is great and cozy, waitress was kind and smiley. Unfortunately food is below average. All is greasy and tastes meh... Price could be better, but the region would not allow.

Nice little diner attached to a hotel. Nothing spectacular, just quality breakfast. The catfish and eggs are always good.

Fantastic diner in the heart of East Hollywood. A venerable institution in this part of town. Great for early breakfast or late late dining. The food is great. So is the people watching.

I wish there were six stars to rate this place! FANTASTIC! The food is great and the service has NEVER been bad. The wait staff have the vibe of people who take pride in what they do and realize that what they're doing is so much more than just 'serving tables'. They make you feel warm and welcome. I wish you could bottle the atmosphere in this place and sell it !! Christmas is always great there. Nice tree and decorations! For many of us who've made L.A. our new homes and can't return to our roots for Christmas this place makes you feel that "home" feeling every time!!

Perfectly restored mid-century diner with a somewhat modernized mid-century diner menu. My grass fed burger was good. The fries were OK but the sweet potato fries mixed in were dry and tasteless. Our server was spot-on. Due to it's popularity the decibel level can climb. Bring your ear trumpet.

True story: I once saw a semi famous person I know, said hi, and then saw them say hi to a more famous person they know who was meeting an even more famous person for dinner. Hollywood is nuts and I'm still the least famous person in this story.

Very cute spot for breakfast, brunch or a simple lunch. Has a retro feel but is very clean and modern. Food was yummy and not overly expensive at all. Busy but only because it's so popular.

Probably the best burger and fries you can get. And the setting is mid-century modern, Googie chic, but all this comes at a price.

A chocolate shake is $7.50 (yes, that's right), but I will add that it's worth it.

Secondly, I've been a half dozen times and the wait staff has always been unfriendly (in a bothered-by-your-general-presence kinda way). Are these the owners kids or what?

But get over those things and your journey is well worth it.
