This is my favorite cafe in San Francisco. Delicious house made potato knishes and bacon scones!

The best coffee and GF snack I've had in a LONG time. The ladies, music and atmosphere here are all fabulous. I'll definitely be back for a full meal soon.

Such friendly and cheerful staff. My first visit - loved the 1950s vibe, and the colourful period clothing that the staff wore. Wonderful wonderful bread and pastries - great coffee. We had Lillet with grapefruit cocktails in an old fashioned champagne glass. What fun!

Stylish, great coffee and fantastic pastries! The staff is always dressed in retro clothes. Could always find parking right in front.

Special yummy desserts served in an elegant setting by lovely people. Who could ask for anything more!

One of my favorite places to relax, eat delicious food, and read in San Francisco. Sit on the luscious banquette, eat some honey cake (or anything on the menu) and soak in some life. Michelle and her staff are superb!

Love it! Strudels are yummy and the service is wonderful. Try the homemade jam too

I'm worried that it will get so popular that I won't be able to get in. Everything has such depth of flavor and wonderful texture. One of my favorite places in San Francisco. The ambiance is as wonderful as the food.

I will bring all my East Coast friends who visit SF. Super cool, jazzy. The pastries are totally superior. Right now, I'm eating this kind of citrusy chocolate cake loaf I thought would be a cinnamon roll kind of thing. Still a little warm from the oven. AMAZING.

I love this sweet and elegant place. The teas and tisanes are wonderful, they have an incredible selection of delectable desserts, and their meals are so good. The ambiance is so lovely, you could be in Paris. The women that work there wear these amazing vintage style aprons and each person looks so beautifully put together, like I stepped into another time.

Honey Cake, exquisite decor and lighting and absolutely LOVELY antique china. I love this place.

Growing up in Hungary and living in California, I really didn't think it was possible to bring me back to the flavors that informed my whole life so far - that homey yet sophisticated combination of love and ingredients that only the best chefs can make into something unforgettable. The pogácsa (savory bacon-cheese scone) is one of the best accompaniments to a cup of tea or mimosa. Owner/chef Michelle Polzine is a true artist. She puts all her life experience, feelings, thoughts - everything - into her dishes. 20th Century Cafe is the biggest surprise. Don't miss it.
