When they moved into this historic space I was really excited - it used to be a weird old-school Italian place, very average. Now it's a very unique restaurant that focuses on sustainable food choices. I particularly like the little side cafe where you can order a pour over coffee or a nice Americano and a slice of toast with yummy jam. In the main restaurant they always have unique choices. They change the menu regularly - which can be awesome but also might make me a little sad sometimes when I want to re-order something I loved. But it never matters - the new options are always yummers. They always have some unique takes on classic dishes - usually an Indian spice twist. I have a soft spot in my heart for Indian cooking so these are always really surprising and unique. They have a decent wine list - little on the pricey side - but always good choices.
The BEST restaurant in LA! Always consistently great food. The Mac & Cheese is perfection. I had the chicken wings last night, awesome. The Kale Caesar was delicious and my steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. IŌĆÖve been there many times and have never had a bad meal. ItŌĆÖs my go to restaurant for all my upscale out of town guests. I LOVE Akasha, the place and the brilliant, talented and lovable womanŌśØ¤ÅŠ!
So, I was at a screening of the film Ingrid Goes West at LA Film School and afterward there was a Q&A with the director Matt Spicer and co-writer David Branson Smith. And they named check Akasha as the place that they worked on the project, as it was half way between their two location. I've been hanging here for quite a while and it is a place you over hear a lot of goings on at Sony Studios, which is close by. On top of that, it's a great place with great food and service and wifi and just everything. I used to think of the manager as grouchy, but when I showed up after a year of being in another section of the city, he greeted me warmly and welcomed me back. When I told him Akasha had been name checked in podcast about a movie, he exclaimed "Finally, we get some credit!". Well deserved. I love this place.
On my business travels to LA some years ago I was fortunate to get familiar with this restaurant in Culver City. I still remember your pour-over Kenya brew alongside with a superb breakfast! Also your evening menus and winelists was very inspiring! Cheers from Norway/Tor Sigve

Great drinks and very tasty foods, the Bartenders are exceptionally nice and patients, it got very busy around 5:00pm. Prices were very reasonable.
Great braised short ribs and avocado beet salad. Always reliably delicious. This is my go to place when I know i need a good meal.

food was great wait staff was great. The girl when I called the day prior said happy hour was till 7:30 and she had to check so when I got there at 7:10 she was wrong but it was okay had a lovely beet salad and a yummy quinoa Bowl. The evening was perfect.
My first time here and won't be my last; we had a birthday celebration for my daughter's 21st and we had a wonderful time; party of 15. Our server Sean was professional, polite, friendly and did not miss a beat with assisting us. Everyone's food was great as some of us had brunch and some had lunch. I will see this place again!
I'm a food person who pays close attention to quality and execution. This food is delicious. The wait staff needs a little polish, in the 3 times I've been here, they've made me feel like they're doing me a favor. I've only sat at the bar, but the view from there has been good.
Enjoyed a lovely meal in an elegantly rustic atmosphere. The sea bass was delectable, while New York strip was "just the right size" accompanied by a dreamy creamy horseradish sauce. The coconut cream pie was a special and it was sweet and hearty - great for sharing.

Yes, the food is good, and, yes, the prices are affordable! However, they're not very diligent about updating their menus when they've sold out of something and they don't seem to appreciate how frustrating it is for a customer to decide what he/she wants to buy only to be told (more than once) they're no longer in supply! In one sense, this can indicate how popular their selections are; in another, however, it can indicate they're not as concerned about customer satisfaction as one would hope!
The restaurant has a sort of Portland vibe in both it's industrial design and the pretentious free range and organic menu. Paid $18 for a benign burger and fries. The bun was stale, the beef was dry and tasteless, and the fries were hard and unseasoned. No salt or pepper at the table to remedy the lack of taste.
