It has always been a great place to start my day off with breakfast and friends. It is a place where everyone knows your name.
This place used to be amazing. Now it's not so much. The few times I've visited lately I find a hair in my food. We notify the waitress but all she will do is apologize and that's pretty much it.
We come here every weekend and it never disappoints! Staff is friendly and the food is great! Try the red delicious omelette (sounds weird buy sooo amazing). Husband always gets the machaca plate and leaves happy and full.
Nice and cozy. The staff is very friendly, service is fast and the food is good and well priced.

Was looking for a good place and came upon this place. Great food and great service. Biscuits and gravy are the best I have ever had!
As The oldest running business in Vista it still runs like a good Swiss watch. I'm glad after all the years gone by I made it back. Great food great people feels like family.
I've been eating here since I moved to Vista in 1999. I love it. I try to hit it once a week. The girls are great and very welcoming. Everything is tasty. Great diner food. My life goal is to be the crotchety old man here that everyone knows and loves. Or at least puts up with.
When my girlfriend first took me to Allen's Alley I was speechless, I have the same order when we go there the famous biscuits and gravy. Great place, great service and amazing food!
Best food ever, great environment. Dog friendly .... I dare you to beat it.
Meh.
The food is just OK, the service is OK, and I think we can skip coming back here again.
The potatoes were undercooked, the omelette was just ok. Prices are higher than Curbside or Sunrise and without that cleanliness factor.
Honestly I am of the mind most breakfast food is the same. I've never had great pancakes or terrible pancakes. So for reviewing breakfast places I generally hold them to a different standard than lunch and dinner places. The food here is as expected. The ambiance is, however; amazing. A cramped retrofitted single-lane bowling alley has become an unironically kitchy diner frozen somewhere in the last century. I'm told the biscuits and gravy are exceptional.
