Excellent Local Breakfast Place ! We were looking for local breakfast places and move away from chains and to support local businesses. We found Bill's thru many sites and considered going here. We were not disappointed. Food was really good and the prices were very reasonable. The portions are huge so you might be able to share some of the dishes.

Try to arrive before 9am on weekends as it gets pretty busy after that. If there is a line, wait. It is worth it!

Great place! Always go with my friends. I wish they were open late. Sometimes breakfast sounds good at night as well. If they were open late, I guarantee they would beat the late night lines at IHOP. Amazing Benedicts.

Excellent as always. I took my mother there for the first time, and she thoroughly enjoyed her steak and eggs breakfast!

Bills. Always a great experience. The best spinach and asparagus omelet by far!!! Can't wait for the King and Mabury Cafe to open.

The food here was so delicious (I Built my own omelette and got a buttermilk pancake instead of toast, plus a Giant mimosa and a coffee). The mimosa alone was well worth it, it came in a bowl that was a lot bigger than I expected, so prepare yourself for that. The potatoes were soooo good and the pancake was pure perfection. Only problem: I was first given the wrong pancake (the Almond Joy pancake instead of the buttermilk one, but this issue was quickly resolved) and I was also given an omelette with the wrong ingredients. There was ham in my omelette instead of mushrooms (I had asked for the five ingredients in my omelette to all be veggies) which would have been a serious problem if I was a vegetarian or didn't eat pork, but I still ate it because I have neither restriction and in the omelette's defense, even though it was wrong, it was still very tasty. Just like, watch out to make sure you're given what you ordered, just in case. It was a very busy Saturday morning when I went, too, so that probably also contributed to the mix up.

After reading the reviews, I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad, but I expected it to be great. The chicken fried steak batter was just weird, the wait was forever, and the servers either had too many tables or didn't care about the outside seating.

Bill's Cafe has very good American breakfasts. Service is nice. Place gets really crowded on weekends. Best is to be there early. And be warned: They DO "Happy Birthday" with drums! If weather is fine and you want it more quite get a table outside.

What an amazing experience. This is a throw back diner with a cool southern feel. The diner is small and intimate. The waitress is older but extremely sharp. She knows the menu backward and forward and makes excellent recommendations. My husband LOVED the corn beef hash. I got the southern breakfast with grilled pork chops, grits, eggs, and biscuits. It was amazing. I can't wait to go back to San Jose and eat here again.
