Superb cooking, consistently excellent, in a setting that is somehow both elegant and causal. A bit pricey if you do the whole wine/food/desert thing but it's absolutely worth the splurge. They don't take reservations. Knowledgeable staff always seems to really know the menu. Good wine list. A real treat!

Had their Truffle Pizza and some macaroon. I must admit you are paying for food, exceptional service and location. The pizza was worth the experience. They have some very well trained staff to service my meal. This place is good spot for a special occasion.

Enjoyed going here after dinner for a spot of tea and dessert. Their macaroons are absolutely delicious. We tried 12 different flavors and there are still more to try. Would definitely recommend others to try. Nice ambiance as well.

Great date spot! The food is good. The service and ambiance is great! I've been here on many occasions. It does get very busy, so I recommend making a reservation for dinner. You can sit at the bar and have a drink while you wait for a table to open.

Hands down one of the best atmospheres in all of Los Angeles. This restaurant is beautiful the service is always impeccable. The food is pretty good but the Ambiance is on another level. You feel like you were at one of the top restaurants in the world. Every time I go here I am blown away by the service that the waiters give they make everyone feel extremely special.

This isn't the worst place to fine something vegan. The pasta with red sauce is surprisingly really good but the serving size is pretty small.

If you could afford it (and this place is super expensive) then order that dish twice and a side salad.

Great atmosphere. Casual chic vibe. The crowd it attracts is office employees, grabbing a quick lunch or a pastry dessert to go. The savory options tasted rather bland however. Not any discernable flavour. However, the restaurant is well known for its myriad of dessert choices. Service was slow at first, but we were later helped by a wonderful lady named Melissa, who offered us a basil sauce that was was a great compliment to the calamari, chips and pasta. Overall, despite looking upscale, the service was friendly and surprisingly non-snobbish. Don't be intimidated by it's appearance. Once you're seated, one will come to find that it is a relaxed atmosphere.

Food was excellent. Coffee was great. Best part was our server Rachael. She consistently asked us how everything tasted each time she would bring out a course. Our drinks were always full and she would refill our water even though we had a bottle at the table. Can't wait to come back!

Lovely little place! As other reviews mention, half is take-out, and half is a sit-down cafe. Brunch was a delight, delicious (if slightly pricey) food, very kind staff, and prompt service. The take-out side is a little hectic, however. The system for selecting and ordering macarons (which are amazing, by the way) could really use some streamlining. Perhaps they're understaffed?

This was a very interesting place. It felt like I was in a giant cafeteria with 30-40 waiters/waitresses prancing around. Very big OPEN concept and super loud. Food is pretty pricey here but it tasted fine. I liked going the one time for the experience but won't probably go back. It's pretty much the exact opposite of an "intimate" restaurant.

Expensive place, food isn't worth the price. But love the decor. The truffle mashed potato tasted nothing like truffle. The portobello fries were soggy, not crispy at all, and tasted plain. The trenne (?) was pan fried pasta with a few cubes of beef - fried pasta is awesome but it got sickening after awhile. Felt sleepy after eating here.

Tried the Princess Cake it was nice in a normal way. $14 though... I expected something awesome.

Friendly staff and beautiful place, but I wouldn't come here again.

I'm a regular here as I live in downtown. The food is good, not great. The service is generally excellent and the ambiance is minimal, to a fault. The food won't let you down and you'll have an enjoyable experience but don't expect to be wowed. You'll have to deal with long waits at peak times. Marble floors, 20' ceilings and no art on the walls give this place the acoustics of a high-end bathroom. This isn't he place to come if you're looking for a nice quite intimate dinner.

Awesome service from start to finish! The manager was super friendly & happy to serve us. I forgot what I got since its been awhile, but I'd definitely try this again! He also let my friend and I try their tasty waffle.

It is good! Both cafe and restaurant offer great food and excellent deserts. Unfortunately, Bottega Louie is not as good as when it started. Quality has deteriorated quite a bit and prices increased. Said that, it is still one of my favorite downtown restaurants
