The food is amazing! Favorite breakfast meal has to be the lobster omelet, Buna omelet and cornflake French toast. . You must try the red velvet mocha, vanilla chai, Acai smoothie and pirates chai.

Stopped in on our way out of town. The place was packed! That's always a good sign, for starters. They actually sat us pretty quick considering. Then the real fun started. Our waitress, Michelle, was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and even though she was so busy, she took the time to socialize, ask us about our trip, get to know our names. . She was fonominal. Everything she recommended for us was absolutely delicious! I would make a trip back to Marina Del Rey just top eat at Cafe Buna and socialize with the locals. Great food, great experience.

If you're in the area for breakfast, definitely try this place out! My wife got the acai bowl, and this thing was massive! Good flavor and good portions. The pancakes are spectacular! They were good enough to not even need syrup on them. Friendly service and a traditional cafe atmosphere on top of the good food puts Cafe Buna squarely on the list of places to return next time we are in town!

Best breaky on the west side. Food is on point. You can take gluten free, vegan, all kinds of picky eaters. Their menu is HUGE. Lunch too. Staff is super friendly and most have worked there for ever. Super laid back. Be nice when they're busy. (Be nice anytime). They're trying their best, they work hard and people have feelings!

Amazing place. Great upbeat staff, fantastic food, very reasonable wait times, authentic down home cooking with a twist of curiosity.

This is a really good breakfast/lunch spot. The service is good and it’s close to the beach.

Best acai bowl ever! Great food!!!! The art that decorated the walls gave a real home town feel while we enjoyed meals that tasted like they came straight from grammas kitchen 🤗

Food was good. Not expensive. Service was great. Had pancakes. They were ok. My wife loved it. She's a breakfast person. The berry berry French toast was a hit at my table. Very sweet. Lots of sugar. Chai tea was good. So was caramel machiotto.

Was told we had a 10 minute wait one group ahead of us, turned into almost an hour. Groups came in (probably pulled a fast one) saying, "my name was on the list,"when it wasn't . Either way we had to wait for two more groups, when we inquired again were told, "your next." Then a VIP group came in and they of course, were seated ahead of us. So long, won't be back!

Terrible service, poorly run. I brought visitors from out of town and this was a poor introduction to Southern CA. Waited 20 min without service, and ended up walking out. Took our business to IHOP, welcomed with open arms. The owner needs to hire a manager who knows what they're doing.
