Cafe Lumiere is my go-to coffee spot in town. The quality of their beans is unmatched, and you can taste the difference in every sip. I had a terrible experience at Cafe Lumiere. The coffee at 365 Calle Principal, Monterey, California 93940, United States was burnt, and the staff was rude. It's rare for me to have such a negative experience at a coffee shop, but Cafe Lumiere managed to disappoint on multiple levels.

My visit to Cafe Lumiere was a mixed bag. The espresso was fantastic, but the seating was uncomfortable, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. Good coffee, but not an ideal workspace.
