Great service and food in wonderful hotel!! Very impressed!!
Thanksgiving was made for Sierra Cafe. First, they sat us right on time (5:15) - gave us plenty of time to eat - we left at 7:30.
Second the entertainment was outstanding. They had a singer who sang "Rat Pack" songs from the 50's / 60's - he made the dinner very special!
Third the service. We had Stephen and he was great.
Lastly, the food!!! Holy Thanksgiving Feast Batman! They had so much food they didn't have room for a salad bar! It was AWESOME. Vegas buffets could learn a lot from this place. First no lines for the food. They had made to order taco bar, soup made to order, Alaskan King crab legs, snow crab legs, Dungeness crab, stone crab claws, Escargot, oysters on the half shell, clams, carved turkey, carved lamb, carved prime rib, Chinese food selections, some Korean food items (noodles with truffle oil and slow roasted brisket), soft serve ice cream, cold stone style mix in ice cream, chocolate, fountain, dessert crepe made to order, cotton candy, sushi, sashimi, pies, cakes, pastries, three premixed salads (who has room?), did I mention the lobster Thermidor? I'm sure I'm forgetting some items. Non-alcoholic drinks are included.
Also, there must have been a few hundred people but since they used the ballrooms and various other seating locations around the Sierra Cafe they had duplicated food stations in the ballrooms and other seating locations so you didn't have to walk or wait in line for food.
I recommend sitting in the main open area of Cafe Sierra - high ceilings and it did NOT sound like a cafeteria.
They validate for two hours of parking so it's only $3 - the $6 each additional hour for a max of $20 or so.
We will be back again next Thanksgiving!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thanksgiving you!!!
Great place. Nice waiter and waitress. Lots of different foods and desserts
Awesome friendliness and fantastic service. Food was delicious!
Great buffet. Whole steamed lobsters and prime rib are the go to.
A Vegas style buffet in LA. Buffets aren't really my thing, but my dad loves them. I took my dad here for father's day 2017 for the prime rib and lobster dinner buffet. We made reservations on open table for 5:15p 15 minutes after they open for dinner. The lobster was good, prime rib not so much. The crab legs were large and plentiful. The desserts were all pretty tasty, you not too sweet. The price for the buffet was Increased by $2 for father's day making it $60 before tax and tip. The price increase was not advertised anywhere I could see, not on the website. They validate parking, but I don't think it makes it free. We parked the street for free a blocks away down the hill.
BEWARE BEFORE YOU VISIT! Do not be deceived by the rating since the rating is out dated or people coming here for the first time. They renovated interior and now the interior looks better, the food stations are all at one place, however they are recouping the expense by down grading food quality across all sections, especially the Chinese food section, it is now about par with Vegas Buffet in Glendale, never coming back. This place used to be about as good as any top notch buffet in Las Vegas; now it's about as good as Vegas Buffet in Glendale which charge $20 compared to $58. This place used to be my favorite buffet in LA, actually only buffet place I really enjoyed. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!
The best brunch! Food forever, lots of variety, the biggest crab legs ever. Superior service.
They've recently remodeled to focus on the buffet that they serve on the weekends. It's a prime rib and steamed lobster all you can eat buffet with all of the other food that you'd expect at a buffet. This is honestly the best buffet in Los Angeles and the closest you would get to a Vegas buffet without going to Vegas. My parents had about 12 lobsters between the two of them and it was totally worth the price.
Great food for a reasonable prices given what's offered. Get there early and get your name down.
HORRIFICALLY OVERPRICED.
They used to be $50 with an incredible selection of food. Now they're $62 and only 1/4 of what they used to offer and it's ALL seafood. Nothing else. It was a terrible experience and we were treated rudely too.
