The Daily News is a wonderful place for anyone to have breakfast or brunch. There is usually a wait, but it's worth it. Mimosas and bloody Mary's with the food is always good. The service here is usually really good too. When my family visits, they always make me take them here at least once!

One of the car parkers at our hotel suggested we have breakfast here and he did us a solid! Many menu options, great service and one of the best omelettes I have ever eaten. I will be back!

Blueberry pancakes are really nice, the place is at a very concurred corner so its has a great view for cars and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Service is nice and kind.

My wife and I had a nice lunch here yesterday.Our cappuccinos made by Courtney tasted pretty decent and our server Corey looked after our needs very well.The bathrooms are upstairs and you need a key.

Breakfast was great. Coffee was excellent. I def recommend it.

We always visit this restaurant every year about twice a week and always had good food and service. We recenty went for breakfast and as usual there was a 20 minute wait. The hostess that day was the rudest person that I have ever encountered. She was offensive and needless to say we will never go back to the daily news again.

The service was super friendly and attentive but the food left something to be desired. I loved my waffle and that was it. The hash browns while somewhat crispy on the outside were liquid mush on the inside and tasted like oil and nothing else. My bacon was crispy which I liked but sweet which I hated but that is just a buying decision so I can't fault them. A little pricey for the food we got. Overall I really like the staff, I just wish the food was a little better

This place is perfect to have breakfast/brunch. Really quick food service. I highly recommend you to try Eggs Benedict.

Had the crab and shrimp crepe and it was pretty good. Service was also pretty good. They're dog friendly.

We stayed at Carlsbad Inn and walked over to the Daily News Restaurant. The waitress that seated us was not willing to accommodate us a table location of our choice. She gave us all kinds of excuses that we would wait because the waiter would be over loaded in coming to our table and we would be waiting a very long time to be served. Her attitude stunked. The restaurant needs to let this person go! My girlfriend owns a time share next door and this same waitress is rude! The staff is obviously more concerned with entertaining themselves, the restaurant is messy and people are packed in like sardines. It appears they want the business but customer service is very poor! We ended up at Don's Country Kitchen. Excellent food, great prices and fantastic customer service! Stay away from The Daily News Restaurant! Get the exercise in by walking to another restaurant in town that will provide better service!
