To Our Dear Hugonauts,
After more than 7 years in Agoura Hills, we have served our last meal at that location. The calamity of the ongoing, record-setting wildfires has made our closing the restaurant necessary. We are so grateful to our co-workers, family & friends who have made the experience of running this restaurant unforgettable.
While closing is sad, we still have two locations in Studio City and West Hollywood to enjoy our from-scratch meals.
... To everyone who had become part of the Hugo’s family in Agoura Hills - -we thank you for sharing your hearts with us. We look forward to serving you again soon!

We were at a friend's baby shower, and stopped in after so we wouldn't have to drive in bumper to bumper traffic. Sara our server was absolutely delightful, she walked us through the menu, and helped us out with every question. We were so happy to be at a restaurant that makes everything from scratch, and on site, as well as a place catered to our vegan/Vegetarian lifestyle. The strawberry lemonade is tops, I had the stir fry and he had the veggie burger. We also got the artichoke dip! Everything was Ahhhhmazing! Service was top notch. Notable mention goes out to Daniel as well, what a happy, upbeat positive guy. He and Sara, really made our whole experience, that much more enjoyable. Next time we are in town, we will definitely be in. Have to come back and try dessert!!! Thank you!
Unique menu with an insane amount of choices! and so many vegan and vegetarian options! Food is always fresh and delicious! Friendly service too!
This is my go-to restaurant. It's got something for everyone, be they vegan, carnivore, gluten free. Some of my faves:
Cuban sandwich on flatbread
Power of green with grilled tofu
Create a plate with black bean patty, brocolini, and yams with tikka masala sauce and honey chipotle sauce
My husband loves the Pasta Victor
It was SO EXCITING to find this restaurant that has such a flexible menu for people with food restrictions. The food was great and so was the service.
I've been coming to Hugo's for years. The lunch & dinner menus have always treated me well and it's one of the places I take friends/family when the opportunity presents itself. I have so many fond memories of sitting with a book & drinking a latte.
The only thing I've been so-so about was the vegan french toast... everything else is A++.
So the reason I'm writing this review tonight is, I called toward the end of the night desperate to get in a food order. I was starving - it had been a long day and I felt the need to get some nourishing food from Hugo's.
So I arrive to pick up the order, the manager and servers are super friendly even though it's 10pm... and the food was amazing. Super fresh taste and readily prepared. Just awesome. I can't thank these guys enough for what they do... love you Hugo's.
I typically go to the Studio City location. This place does everything possible to accommodate the pickiest of eaters, cheerfully and mostly without hesitation. Their menu remains fresh with new offerings brightening their menu, while keeping old favorites that keep them distinct from other places. Many meals are organic or gluten free, something to keep everyone happy.
I always make sure I go there when im in the area, it's only 30/40 or so min from where I live but this time I made sure I drove in the opposite direction to get there before heading home. Worth it, got the carnitas tacos one of my favs, I wasn't sure what salsa to get so I just asked him to pic for me three different. Was happy, I'll be back
I adore Hugo's. As a gluten free vegan who has to avoid nightshades, a place where I can eat food I love and so can everyone else in the group, is hard to come by.
A wide variety of selections for everyone! My husband and I are vegan and we love this place. We can go with our gluten free friends and FEAST! Super healthy, always fresh and delicious! Especially love all the Ayurvedic herbs used - yummy!!
Very large portions. I had the chipotle scramble. It was very good. My boyfriend had the green spinach tamales and eggs: he thought it would be full of spinach and had none. He said it was just ok. My son had the pasta mama and enjoyed that. Kind of pricey.
I love Hugo's for the food but the service is very hit/miss. Some of the worst service I've had anywhere has been here. The last few times has been slightly better, but, don't risk it if you're starving and want to get your order in quick (or just take it to go. Their food really is great).
First time in this part of town and tried Hugo's for breakfast. The food and service were both very good and I loved that I could get nondairy creamer options for my coffee, as I need to avoid dairy. Lots of interesting menu options.
Very attentive staff , food good , location meh but overall was pampering
I was all prepared to give you guys an excellent rating... Then I stopped in last night for dinner and learned that ordering the black bean chili over spaghetti was no longer an option. Drat! It was spectacular and I'd come by a number of times to order it. PLEASE add it back in as an option.. When you do I will again stop in early and often and give you all a 5-star rating! Thanks, Linda
Food is overpriced but usually good. They have a hard time making more complicated dishes like huevos rancheros to specs, which is why I just order the pasta mama now. It's just spaghetti and eggs and a little cheese garlic. So not that much to go wrong.
We had a terrible experience with this particular dish. We went today for brunch and our 14 year old daughter ordered it. The dish was substantially undercooked (doughy in the middle). My daughter ate all the fruits and enough of the dough until she stopped. She didn't say anything about the dish until I asked her why she didn't finish it. Only then she said "I don't want to get sick, it's undercooked." This is though when the fun began. We spoke with the server who was very nice and offered to bring it to the manager's attention Chris Hager. He acknowledged the dish is undercooked and that he will inform the kitchen and give us a discount. The discount for an undercooked meal at Hugo's Studio City is $3 for an overpriced $15 peach-pancake. When my husband went to talk to the manager Chris Hager, he stated that my kid ate most of it totally ignoring the fact that it was entirely their fault for undercooking the dish. We've lived in Studio City for 20 years and both I and my husband have been going to this place both for business and personal occasions but this person's inflexibility to correct a mistake makes me consider to avoid this restaurant.
The service was great the food not so much. I wasn't very impressed very the menu and honestly felt the Saklad I ordered tasted like dirt. There weren't enough beets and the dressing was less then complementary.
I usually go to the location in Agoura. The menu is slightly different and the preparation of things on the menu is VERY different. I enjoyed our server who was very funny and attentive, so 5 stars on that! This location only servers beer and wine so I miss the full bar as with the other locations. Although ok if I lived closer, this location is not a real draw for me. Sorry, but I know others who do love your place!
I know lots of people love this place. I just didn't. Got a Cuban which was on toast. One side too toasted so that it cut the roof of my mouth and the other soggy. Sent it back.
Vegan lunch mate ordered vegan Mac & cheese. Sounded great on the menu, but a total "miss". That was sent back. However one lunch mate had the regular Mac & cheese & loved it.
Service was a bit slow but very friendly throughout.
We would not return to Hugo's.
