Friday evening, 28 years ago, we had a party for our friends and neighbors to celebrate the 2-1/2 year restoration of Jimtown Store. Bob Goodyear and his 75 year old high school buddies played music on the patio and everyone wanted to know what took us so long. Saturday, Memorial Day weekend we officially opened our doors and by the end of day we had sold out of most everything, went back in the kitchen to prep late for Sunday and I thought “Great, but what have I got myself into! “ Turns out to be a lot of hard but fulfilling work, creative, good things with many wonderful people and a priceless sense of community and connection in one of the most beautiful places imaginable. #28thanniversary #jimtownstore #backyardgarden #alexandervalley #grateful @ Jimtown Store
