Quiet, creative, perfect for before heading into JT
Ate lunch there, it was so delicious! Sautéed kale for appetizer was a spicy and yummy and garden tacos were phenomenal. Would definitely recommend!
Food tasted good but there wasn't enough. Hamburger patty was about 3" in diameter but an inch thick. Buns were small as well. The burger was about 6" tall making it impossible to bite. The salad it came with was tasty but had a tangy dressing which we both choked on due to acidity. We left hungry and will not be returning.
Good food, well dressed salads. Wide variety of foods offered. Cute little place
Amazing food! Limited menu but done very well. Love the atmosphere, too.
The food was great as well as the service. Cool atmosphere definitely recommend.
Good atmosphere, food and staff!
Caribbean food, tastes great. First time I had it and it was an interesting experience. Restaurant moved from the Mobile gas station to the old Mango Hut location.. little on the expensive side, everything is $$, with appetizers starting at $7. No kids menu, but the staff was quick to invent a grilled cheese special for us. Decor is bright and cheerful, music was good. Pricey but a great 29 Palms option, especially if you like Caribbean food!
Great service. Excellent food!! They messed up our ordered but they were very generous and more than made up our order. Foods was very plentiful and a awesome Caribbean flavor.
I got the garden taco. Was very good. Others in the group got burgers, they also said there food was good. Wait for food was only issue, food is made fresh is probably the reason.
This is a "diamond in the rough". It's quaint atmosphere paired with its use of unique blends of spices make for a great meal! We had the Bara and Florence burgers. Both were cooked exceptionally well and dripping with juice. Even better, were the fries - they're real! You can still see the potatoe skins on them. To end the evening we had the most decadent and moist chocolate cake I probably have ever had in my life. The restaurant is located off the beaten path but it is definitely worth the adventure!

It has been awhile since I have been in their establishment since they closed, and I am happy that they have transferred to a new location. The new location has a nice ambience, nice music and not feeling rushed from the buzz of entering a gas station. They have new items on the new menu. I do not know if they are still going to serve breakfast any time soon but lunch sounds perfect today. Me and my husband had 2 things in mind. We want something refreshing and something spicy. We have ordered the signature burger ( medium well ) with the fries, and the Florence Burger for my husband. For our appetizer, we also tried their jerk chicken that came with the garlic aioli on the side.
The jerk chicken had a nice kick to it, but for me it kinda lacked seasoning after the first bite. I feel that the flavor should be pushed out more. The tiny lack of flavor got compensated with the garlic aioli, which for me is really good. I personally prefer to have the sauce to be a little thicker because it was a little watery in my opinion. The dip would stick more to the chicken if that will change.
Our burgers was juicy and refreshing because they don't use the typical "lettuce". Their different cheeses on these burgers compliments the meat and the other ingredients that comes with. Fries was crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside.
The one thing that I would recommend the most is the lemonade. They have 2 kinds but I would prefer to stay with the classic. I am pregnant and I have a certain favorite and that would be the lemonade. Their lemonade is freshly squeezed and just have enough flavor. Please trust me when I say this, I am a hella picky lemonade drinker. This is the second time that I am liking a lemonade from another restaurant.
I would recommend them to improve their serving time, and maybe the utensils ready. But other than that, this business is superb.
Also, I confirmed that they do military discounts if anybody was wondering about it.
So delicious. We stop by every time we are in 29 Palms visiting our cabin. The coffee is really good too. Be warned. Quality takes time. Order ahead if you are in a hurry. Also: this liquor store has a GREAT selection of beer. It's the perfect place to get a picnic lunch for the park.
