Incredible food. I mean... It was actually ridiculous. The fried chicken was BETTER than Rosco's in LA, and if you've ever had that you know what I'm talking about. All the appetizers were fantastic, the beets, the green beans (yeah they make green beans amazing), the potato's... It's so worth it. Go here.
Easily the best restaurant North of Palm Springs with in a hundred miles. Not to missed. No reservations and quirky hours but what else is there to do out this way?
The food here is beyond amazing. Everything is so thoughtfully paired to perfection. I had the fried chicken, it was a mind blowing experience.
The owners are a wonderfully nice couple. My meal was absolutely delicious and had amazing color and texture. The plates are very well thought out and made with what i assume is only the finest & freshest ingredients. A must stop on a pass by. My stomach will never disagree. If the owners read this. Thank you. Beautiful place with amazing food.
Smashing! Was coming here for brunch all last "tour" best food in all the heights! Now the whole gang is back at it again for a late lunch/dinner. They're killing it again! Fabulous culinary delight throughout the whole menu! Eggplant 🍆 parm was outta this world! All the desserts are perfect balance! Keep killing it and thanks for all the hard delicious work!
La Copine means always closed in French.
Also if the owners don't like your review they find you on Instagram, send you condescending messages and block you. 😂
The team, from the owners to the front and back of the house are fantastic. Great breakfast or lunch, my favorite in the hi-desert. Detailed service and presentation. Rustic charm with city cuisine panache. Thank you.
Don't get me wrong, the food was great. I had the royal crumpet with veggie sausage and loved it. The coffee was great too, however I would have liked a few more refills. I only gave it 3 stars because after our 50 minute wait and a whole breakfast with 9 people they wouldn't let us put candles on a carrot cake we brought for my uncle's 70th birthday. The waitress said "No. This is a restaurant". 😐 Fine. They were also low on glasses so only a few of our party could have water.
The best meal I had in Joshua tree. They have a lot of delicious and health options on the menu. The coconut rice pudding was a standout, but the beignets and French toast were also delicious. For a more savory dish, the Lavish toast is a nice option. I ordered the sweet potato hash, which was very good but nothing special compared to the other items. It's in the middle of nowhere which adds to the ambiance. The wait can be long because there are not a ton of tables, but they do have a cute general store you can check out while you wait. They only had one large table so we had to squeeze 6 at one of the smaller tables. This is good to know if you plan to go with a large group. You write your name on the wait list outside when you arrive.
Homemade and tasty brunch - though quite rich. No juice nor espresso drinks available.
Mediocre beignets, long waits, inattentive service, boring ambiance, pretty solid food.
Great place if you are in this neck of the woods. A local favorite. Standout for us was their take on French toast which they call Franz toast.
Great music, amazing food, great coffee
